I was reading about this quest with no prior knowledge and the first thing I thought when I saw the quest text was either something to do with Teldrassil or something to do with those ancients in the top of Felwood.

If you think about it rather than panicking because there's no one to tell you the answer, there aren't too many places to check.

Just did the quests to form the bow, and in total it gives you 3 quest points - so it'll help you if you are working on getting the Seeker.

Changed as of 4.0.1:

This quest line is now dead. I turned in this quest after getting the leaf in Molten Core today, and could not pick up the next in the chain.

Damn you Blizz to only drop the leaf after months of farming when I can't even use it anymore :(

Guess I'll go throw away my mature black dragon sinew now...

Edit: The change was a bug, and has been fixed to allow completion of the quest until removal in 4.0.3.

Completed after 4.0.3 but prior to 4.0.3a. Also completed all 3 follow up quests, got the 24slot bag and the cool looking bow!

Of course, hunters are the only class that would be told ""Oh hey, go search the entire world looking for some old leaf that gives you an uber-powerful cache of weapons and a quiver. Good luck!"". Like wasniahC said, I bet the first person to do this has got to be the most epic hunter of all time. Nuff said.

You have to realize that if this were to actually somehow happen it isnt like the leaf would say ""hey find out about me from this guy here""
