We are currently accepting donations for wool cloth. A donation of sixty pieces of wool cloth will net you full recognition by Stormwind for your generous actions. Our stores are such on wool that we would only need sixty pieces from you total; we should be able to acquire enough from others in the realm to support our drive.

A Donation of Wool (650 Exp.)
A Donation of Silk (1650 Exp.)
A Donation of Mageweave (3300 Exp.)

After 2.3 the donations of wool and silk give 350 each, 385 if human.

I'm level 38 at revered, but I've turned in no cloth and the exclamation mark is grey.

A quick calculation based on prices from my server (Korialstrasz) shows 60 pieces of wool going for 7g, silk - 3g, mageweave - 18g and runecloth - 9g for a total of 37g per city for 17,650 XP and 1400 rep (1540 for humans).

Don't think it's worth it unless you really want the racial mount.

Since the quest was still available to me even at Exalted, I thought it might grant + Alliance rep.

These quests do count for Loremaster, for each city you do them in. The repeatable Runecloth turnin does not, but the 3 stacks of Runecloth one does count.
