Yeah, the event happens every 3 hours, starts at about 12 in the morning and is reoccuring through-out the day.

any time is spawns past midnight there is hardly anyone around to get the chest; i have looted it 8 or 9 times all past midnight and no fighting had to be done to obtain the chest

I did it quite some time ago and deleted the trinket, but never received the achievement.

Always try it, even if it seems impossible. I have a level 29 twink and a level 80 priest showed up. 2 minutes before it was dropped she logged out (?) and returned 10 seconds after I looted it, while it looked like I would have no chance, just always try.

The grandmaster trinket will finally get my level 1 to 600+ health, unbuffed and after the restrictions on head/shoulder/leg enchants.
I am still looking for any more ways to get more stamina... I just don't want to grind for another trinket :)
I am a Blood Elf paladin, with 58 (+50 from mining) naked health.

Back in Wrath I was trying to get all 12 on my level 19 mage. I ran in and was ganked by a stealthed druid. He was then attacked by someone his own level (80). I ran back as a ghost and waited as a ghost next to the box waiting to rez when they had killed each other.

To my surprise he killed everyone and then logged out next to the box. I respawned and looted my twelfth trink for the achievement. A moment later his level 19 alt spawned next to me. I /lol'd him and he /cry'd and attacked me.

But I still had his trink.

Just always try to get it. You just might.

After talking to a Game Master regarding the chest not spawning at given hours, he confirmed for me that it still do spawn. But if you for instance is phased out in some other quests in the zone you wont be able to see the chest or /yell from npc.

For me i was on the two quest https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=29219 Bwemba's Spirit and https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=29220 To Bambala in the zone. Game Master said, either disband those two or complete the chain in order to be phased to the right zone would solve my issue.

Thought id share this with the community that is currently confused on ""why cant i see the chest"" :)

Short John Mithil will normally do his call-out at 00:00, 03:00, 06:00, 09:00, 12:00, 15:00, and 18:00 server time. However, because of the fact that the Gurubashi Arena Booty Run is set every three hours instead of at certain times (the server does not check the time, it simply counts out 3 hours), during Daylight Savings Time, the chest will not spawn at the normal time, but either an hour later or an hour earlier than usual, until the following Tuesday when maintenance is performed and servers are restarted.
