Katoom the Angler at Revantusk Village in the Hinterlands wants you to kill Gammerita and retrieve Katoom's Best Lure from her corpse.

Katoom mentioned that Gammerita hangs out on the coast with the other turtles.

Description

Yo! There be a turtle out there not like the others. She be the Gammerita, leader of the saltwater snapjaws - a downright dirty thievin' reptile.

Mon, she stole my best lure. Snapped it right off my line! Since then, the fish just aren't biting the same.

Find Gammerita and get my lure out of her stomach.

Took this turtle down as a 49 Rogue. She hits for around 120-200 on normal hits, 300+ on criticals. His attack speed isn't fast, but I did have to take a Major Healing Potion towards the end.

If you're a rogue, cheapshot as your opening, then pop Evasion, get 5 points on her and kidney shot. I used Deadly Poison on both blades which procs fast and helped a great deal. The fight lasts long enough and you should get another kidney shot on her.

Gammerita goes up and down the coast, she turn around from north and starts heading south at 80,57.

She is an easy kill for any class that can kite. Just kite her to the guards at Revantusk Village, and they will attack her. Just make sure you've done enough damage to her that you are still able to loot her.

As stated before, it's no longer elite but he has this pierce armor move that reduces your armor by 50 %. Still kind of tough to a warrior :-).

Easy runned to village to give back quest and i saw near guards this mob just hitted himn once and guards have killed himxD

If she was elite at one point, she's not anymore. She's just a named level 48 turtle. She's aggressive and not passive like the rest of them. I found her at co-ordinates 77,66 with the other turtles. Just type in /target Gammerita and if you do target her just look around for which one of the turtles has text above them.

Killed her as a level 50 enhancement shaman. Standard kill. Two lightning bolts, put up lightning shield, hit her with stormstrike and a good whack or two from your weapon. Cake, and easy XP.

Soloed as a 44 rogue. She got me down to 1/4 HP, then I used my Combat Bandage Macro stated below. I had 3/4 HP left when she died. ^-^

The key to Gammerita, as well as the other turtles, is to keep https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=8650 Expose Armor for rogues, or https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=8380 Sunder for warriors, up at all times.

For rogues, use your first set of combo points for expose. While opening with https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=1833 Cheap Shot is fine, https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=8725 Ambush would be best in this situation. You want to burn as much HP as you can from her.

Creating a macro for https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=8629 Gouge with the highest level bandage you can will help as well. Here's the one I use...

/cast Gouge
/stopcasting
/use [target=player] Heavy Netherweave Bandage

Exchange Heavy Netherweave Bandage out for the one you wish. This will cast gouge and your bandage at the same time.

Gammerita is based off of Gamera, a giant movie monster that is usually the hero of the movie. Me and my friend were talking and it just sorta came up.. haha, kinda cool eh? A female version of a movie monster... lolz

Found her at 71,69. Don't do what I did and swim around in the water for a long time looking for her. She's on land.

Easy kill. Killed her as a level 52 Demonology spec lock, no pet. Just used my shadowbolt and death coil. And as Eristolis said, she is on land... Not in the water. Found her at the end of the coast, near the Western Plaguelands.

Found her at 77,65... She's just walking around. It took me just about one minute to find her. Easy to kill. :D

Put this turtle out of her misery as a 47 hunter. She really is no different than taking out any other turtle in this area. I sent my gorilla in to aggro her then used volly on her about three rounds and she was dead. Easy xp quest.

This is still a quest and it works fine. You just need to be at her mouth, then target, or she may go to bite you if you stand at her mouth.
