Vilebranch Hooligans

Smith Slagtree at Revantusk Village in the Hinterlands wants you to find Slagtree's Lost Tools. Return to him once this task is complete.

You recall Smith Slagtree mentioning that the tools might be at one of the Vilebranch temples in the northeastern region of the Hinterlands. You should also check Skulk Rock.

Description

Vilebranch scum invaded our village and stole my tools! I have backup tools but the set they stole was a gift given to me by a kind hearted gnome that saved my life when I was a young orc.

I want those tools back, <name> - they mean the world to me.

Markhor reported that the tools were spotted near the Agol'watha and Shaol'watha temples.

Those temples are in the northeastern region of the Hinterlands.

Watch out for the Vilebranch trolls of the region, <name>. They are ruthless, murderous filth.

Bucket spawns at any of the 4 troll camps along the river as well as the top of Skulk rock. Can be a bit annoying to find. Just run up and back and hope no one loots and makes it respawn.

It took me a while to find this since I had no idea it spawned on top of Skulk Rock. I was actually heading over there to grab some ghost mushroom from the cave and saw the bucket sitting up there.

I would reccomend just keeping an eye out for this while you do other quests rather than running around solely to find this.

You will most likely see it in the course of doing other things... just make sure you have this quest before you go running around the Hinterlands.

Don't know if others encountered this, but was grouped with a Rogue & when we found the tools. When my warrior looted, the items disappeared after that despite both of us being on the quest. Guess this is meant to be a solo quest so can only be looted once per spawn.

I found the loot at the Camp (66,44) & eventually found it again for my friend at easternmost camp (72,53). Interesting part was there wasn't any MOB's at 72,53. Rogue stealthed in to find it empty with only the tools. Maybe he was lucky...

Don't forget you can also use many abilities to help you find them, like Eagle Eye for hunters, Farsight for shamans, Eye of Kilrogg for warlocks, stealth for druids and rogues, and even Mind Vision for priests to look inside of the camps before clearing all the mobs out. Unfortunately, pallies, warriors and mages are kinda stiffed out in this regard.

The tools spawn in the very same camps the quest mobs are, and since you will have to hit several camps twice, eventualy the tools will spawn.

57.4, 42.6 is where I found it at (lots of slime type mobs around it).

As of 2.3.3 Patch it does sparkle like the other quest objects do.

if u have quest helper from curse.com than it will show the bucket at the skulk rock but i have been up there several times and nothing so it doesnt know which cords to use

i found the bucket at 66,44. first camp going east of the rock

I actualy found this by luck. i was running away from the stealthed wolves n i found a place with no mobs and the bucket on the side. This place is called shaol'watha (something like this). Its a little east from the 2 camps with the trolls.My suggestion head there first.

The exact coords for the place where I found the lost tools is 66,45.

There were 2 caster mobs guarding the tools, lvl 46, as a lvl 50 prot paladin this was no problem.

There are 2 camps and some ruins near each other, it is quite possible the spawn for the tools is random, if you do not find them where I found them, check that out.

I found it at 53,39... after trying all the troll camps and Skull Rock several times. I even went to the ooze cave, I died there, and did not find the tools.

if it indeed disappears once used, then its respawn is instant, as another person in my party looted it while i was killing a mob, and by the time i was done, the bucket was there

a possible reason for not finding it on any camp after searching several times is that someone else got the bucket before you and it respawned somewhere else, possibly where you already looked it for
if you dont find it in any of the spots, do another quest and try again

Camp Shaol Whata for me at 65 44......easy as a 45 hunter. Spotted the tool while looking wih eagle eyes.

Killed all around the camp and sended the pet into the camp keeping the two soothsayers busy..looted the tools and helped the Pet.....easypeasy!

I dont know about it being in all of those places, because the ingame questhelper said that it was in the ruins to the far right, went there, killed a single wolf and picked it up.
