The average value from vendoring the junk or auctioning the rare and recipes comes to around 2 gold 43 silver per prize.

After you turn in the max 5k rep quest items (e.g. Evil Bat Eye, Glowing Scorpid Blood, Dense Grinding Stone, Thorium Widget, and/or Rugged Armor Kit) these ""Prizes"" do not give rep contrary to many Darkmoon Faire Guides.

Hoping the new Darkmoon Faire in 4.3 will be easier on rep grinds :)
