Vyral the Vile

Bring Vyral's Signet Ring to Huum Wildmane in Cenarion Hold.
Vyral's Signet Ring

Description

We have discovered another base of operations for the Twilight's Hammer. It is called Twilight's Run; it is a cave tucked in the northeast corner of Silithus. The local leader of the cult, Vyral the Vile, haunts that cave - it is he who you must next defeat. When you have done this, bring me his signet ring.

Fortune to you, <name>. The horrors of Twilight's Run are formidable indeed.

Reward

You can choose one of these awards:
Desert Wind Gauntlets
Sunprism Pendant
Also, you get: 90

Progress

<name>, have you yet defeated Vyral the Vile? Do you have his signet ring?

Completion

You've done it! Vyral is killed! This can only mean doom for the Twilight Hammer's operations in Silithus. There may be more of them scurrying about, but the blow you dealt to the cult today is one from which they will not easily recover.

Gains

This quest is easily soloable at 60. The mobs in the cave are single pulls, with the exception of Vyral himself (inevitable double pull). When entering the cave, you can jump off the ledge to your right if you're feeling adventurous (mobs below) or clear your way forward and take the right fork. The mobs are casters, one type with frostbolt/frost nova/chain lightning spells and one type that is melee with an instant cast immolate and a fire damage aura/shield.

The flamereavers were a bit of a pain to my 61 retri paladin as they spam cast immolate fire which hurts when stacked up.

Vyral the vile however was very easy, infact I would say he was easier to kill than the normal mobs. Coords above confirmed take the right fork as you enter the cave, then down through the shadow mist, then he is up on a ledge at the end with 2 ads. The respawn rate in the cave is also quite high.

Soloing this is possible from about lvl 60 depending on class. But the mobs run off when they go down to 15-20%... If you can't kill them fast enough you're in for a gankorama. If you die the mobs will spawn before you get back to res.

The flamereavers seem to run away a bit faster than most mobs, making it much harder to keep from getting new friends. As a shaman I tried to save a frost shock cooldown for the last hit before they ran for it.

Is he supposed to drop the ring? Cause I had strangest thing, I starded attacking him and is said ""evade"" a few times.
When I was finally able to hit him and kill him, he didn't drop the ring.
Is this supposed to happen?
Thanks in advance

*EDIT* killed him twice now, still no ring

*SECOND EDIT* Kinda forgot I was in a raid(smacks herself) So no it's not bugged, I was just stupid!
BTW GMs read wowhead. He told me it answered my Wowhead question. I was like: ""WTH, I'm being stalked by Blizzard, teehee.""
Nah they read comments and such to find out things that might not been reported to Blizzard yet.

SO, NO BUG, JUST ME BEING AN IDIOT!

Worst. Respawn. Timer. Ever.

Waited bloody 5-7 minutes for this twat to respawn after he'd got mushed by a DK who beat me to it.

Well I just did Vyral the Vile and he's now just a regular 55 which I killed with my level 55 hunter in 2 shots (aimed and then kill shots). He does have about 15 minute re-spawn though.

Just a sidenote for all the quest seekers going in this area. The runed area directly behind https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=15202 Vyral the Vile is the spawn point for a new hunter pet, https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=50737 Acroniss. So, do not be surprised to see high level hunters camping this spot.

The purple cloud-skull path at the very bottom of the cave is strangely similar to the undead city of ""Dimholt"" when the 3 are making their way to the main hall, in the extended version of LotR: The Return of the King.
