Description

Serving the Horde in one of the great battles against the Alliance is a source of great honor! The few however, that have served the Horde in ALL of our active battlefronts are our truly great fighters. We shall vanquish our opponents, not by fighting isolated skirmishes, but by waging a well-coordinated war.

Go forth and crush the Alliance in Arathi Basin, Alterac Valley and Warsong Gulch! For Honor! For the Horde!

Reward

The following spell will be cast on you:
Honor Points +2388
Also, you get: 2 70

Progress

Arathi is still wet with the blood of great warriors and the clash of steel still rings throughout Alterac. Do not waste my time unless you bring news from the front!

Completion

Your trials have not been easy, but your courage did not escape you and your strength did not fail. Part with past tokens of victory, <class>. None shall need them as a reminder of your worth. Stand up straight, <name>. Today you will walk with great pride for you are a hero!

This is a repeatable (not daily!) quest, it also gives you 314 bonus honor upon completion, everytime ;)

I think that the first time you do it, you'll just gain the same exp/money of the daily pvp quests (so it's 11G if you are 70, much less, 3,99G if I remember well, before it) the honor it gives is based on the HKs this also means the honor you get from the repetable quest (I don't know if this also is true for exp and money) depends on your lvl. So if your not going to make a twink, save the marks till you get to 70 if you need honor.

This is great! If you have 100 marks from every BG (Which im sure SOME of you pvp knuckleheads do;) Thats 31400 honor pts right there. :)

When turning in many at once this macro may help:

/script SelectGossipAvailableQuest(1)
/script CompleteQuest()
/script GetQuestReward()

You need to click it 3 times though, and right click the quest giver after each turn in.

I find that this quest has a good trade off because I always find my self having to many marks and not enough honor for a reward.

Be aware! The amount of honor per repeatable turn-in depends on your level. At lvl 68, I received 273 honor. At lvl 70 i received 314. I would suggest keeping all your marks until you reach 70, unless of course you have an excess of marks.

Edit: At 69, you receive 302 honor per turnin.

Id say the best way getting lots of honor is going to AV as often as you can but doing the daily BG to get the bonus honor. This will let you have a least 3 marks of the Daily BG wich means that you once every 4 day can turn in a least 3 of these repeatable quest and awards 3x314, 942 honor. =D

Lvl 51 for this quest cannot be true. Since EOTS requires 61, then you will be able to take it at 61 the earliest. (tested, my 58 paladin still does not receive the quest)

I'd reccomend having a look at how well your faction does in your battleground at 70 and pre-70.

To use Bloodlust-EU for example, all our pre-70 bg's are most often dominated by Horde, we outnumber the alliance in WSG, AB and EoTS, and generally win in AV. However at 70, it's the complete reserve with WSG, AB, EoTS, with Horde often outnumbered, and ridiculed.

Therefore, I would advise such a person to stock up on tokens, and hand them in at level 69, when the wins are quick and easy, and the honour still scales well. Or vice versa, don't waste your time trying to farm tokens one at a time for hand ins at level 69, when you can do it at 70 with ease. ;)

Wonderful addition to daily BG and a real gift for people grinding Merciless equipment.
Assuming that you win all four BG - you get 314 * 3 + daily bunus + honor from each BG which brings you between 3 and 4 k honor points. And this, in turn, means around 3 days for any part of Merciless Set.

I am quite surprised that they have not removed this quest from the game, considdering you cannot gain marks of honor anymore

This quest is now bugged - as of patch 4.0.1

Now, instead of taking marks from battlegrounds, it takes 11 honor points, and gives you NOTHING when repeated.

Though, I should mention, that I just did this quest, for the very first time on my lvl 67 warrior.. And I got 11650 XP, 3 gold and 70 silver as a reward.

But when I tried to re-do it, as it's a repeatable quest, I got nothing..

So you are hereby warned, peeps! I bet blizzard will remove this quest in the near future.. But until then, if you want 11650 XP and some gold intrade for 11 honor points, go ahead ;)

(XP is most likely calculated off your level though, so it'll probably vary in amount from level to level)
