An Imp's Request

Bring a piece of felcloth to Impsy in Felwood.
Felcloth

Description

<name>, an imp in Felwood by the name of Impsy has requested your presence. It is somewhat strange, as he has asked that you bring a piece of felcloth as a sign of good faith. Considering the power you already wield as a warlock, I can only assume you know the satyrs of Felwood carry this felcloth.

You can find Impsy just north of the Bloodvenom Falls, which I've heard is quite lovely this time of year.

Progress

Do you have my felcloth?

Completion

What a splendid <class> you are!

<Impsy holds the felcloth to his face.>

Oh how I love the feel of it, the way it burns your skin and weaves evil thoughts through the mind...

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 380 experience (22 80 at max. level)

You can get this quest from a warlock trainer in UC where all the demon trainers are at if you're horde.

For this quest, I went to Felwood and farmed satyrs until the Felcloth dropped, that saves you the trouble of buying it, and once it drops, you can get back to Impsy right away.

This quest will later on chain to the Warlock's Sunken Temple quest, which will give you the choice of a nice trinket, robe, or weapon. So, this is definitely a quest you will want to do.

I'd like to add that this quest is acquirable at lvl50.
Also, visiting Nibsy and Impsy in Felwood will also give you the infernal quest.

Although the quest mentions satyrs, the felcloth will drop from any of the https://vanillawowdb.com/?search=jadefire#npcs Jadefire in Felwood. (If you really want the satyrs, they are in the Jadefire Glen, the path starts at 43,85.)

Impsy (and Niby, who gives you the Infernal quest chain starting with https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=7601 What Niby Commands) are around 41,45.

Buying a felcloth before heading to Felwood might be a good idea, since you'll most likely see atleast one drop if you stay and quest, which you can sell and regain the money spent.

Is this the quest were you get the Soul Haverester? And you can also get the felcloth from another Imp vendor in Winterspring... allthough he's surounded by alot's of lvl 58-60elites so you may die... the elites ain't close to him, they are outside the cave, so you can buy it safly for about 90s i think...

The drop rate for the felcloth is amazingly low. Dont know the number-% but i had to kill about 20 jadefires (all kinds) before it dropped. Just figured i would post since no one else mentioned how much farming you would have to do to get this.....personally i would have paid for it at an AH if it was available on my server

got lucky at the AH and got the last one available at the moment.

I really didn't want to go farm it after reading about the droprates here.

Like others, I too thought to just farm the Satyrs for a while to get a single felcloth. I originally looked on the AH, but the only cloth available was a stack of 14 or so, and I didn't want to waste the money on other cloth that would sit in my bank.

The droprate was horrendous. By the time I finally got one at level 50, I had earned 7 bars of exp (and leveled to 51), 6 https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=12662 demonic runes, 50 mageweave, 29 runecloth, about 20g just from cash drops, and a bunch of miscellaneous other junk. I had farmed at all three Satyr camps in Felwood.

Grr...

Did this quest get removed with 4.0.1 patch? Neither the Stormwind or Ironforge trainers would give me quest at level 75. I even went to Impsy to see if perhaps I had completed this quest before and just not remembered but I had never even been to Felwood before. And yes, I am a warlock.
