Description

The Kolkar are a threat to the Horde's claims in the Barrens; we must reduce the numbers of their troops. And so, I have a bounty task for you.

While in Kolkar territories, slay their warriors and collect centaur bracers. Return when you have a heap of bracers and the Horde will reward you well.

Nicely done. I'm sure you've struck fear into the surviving centaurs, <name>. If they have sense, they'll now calm themselves and stop their advances.

But I don't think they will, and that is unfortunate.

Coordinates above confirmed. There's also a rare mob that's nearby: Stonearm (https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=5837 https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=5837). I just killed him at 42, 27 inside a large hut.

Very low drop rate , I slayed about 40 before i got all 15 drops.. took about 45 mins in all ... Bad Slow Quest ...

Centaur bracers can drop from any of the centaurs that wander the three oases in the Barrens. Though the drop rate is a bit low, doing this quest alongside the other quests that Regthar Deathgate gives you makes it more bearable.

This quest pairs especially well with https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=851 Verog the Dervish; it requires you to kill centaurs in order to force them to summon Verog, and oftentimes you must kill quite a few of them before they finally do summon him. All of the centaurs you slay for this quest, of course, can drop the bracers.

the BEST place to grind centaur bracers would be the forgotten pools, even though they are at the other oasises too

This quest is barely worth it considering the exceptionally low droprate, especially now with the +10%xp shoulders allowing people to race through the levels. Unless you specifically grind for these bracers you WILL level up before you get all the bracers - and even if you DO grind for them there's no guarantee. By which time, of course, the quest will have gone green and you'd be far better off moving on to one of the other zones more appropriate to your level.

Drop rate is 50-50...i killed 4 and 2 droped bracer.....stormers are hard to kill under lvl 13....wranglers are like usual mobs

Unfortunately a bad droprate but there are alot of quests around the area 47,39, some examples:

It makes this quest a bit more bareable if you can complete others at the same time!

As of Cataclysm these now drop off the Kolkar Marauders and Stormseers that occur around the Lushwater Oasis to the south of the quest giver. Easy kills and close to 100% drop rate.

Don't bother farming these bracers from centaurs on the world map. Simply wait till you do the quest https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=4021 Counterattack! as many centaurs are spawned for the event. If you fail to gather sufficient bracers, abandon your quest and start over.

I did this quest in about 15 minutes outside of Wailing Caverns. I had a pretty good drop rate, well over 50%, and I even took a minute to kill a rare mob in the lake.
