Description

I was playing near the Fargodeep Mine, and I think I dropped, er...I mean I saw, the old lady's necklace. Don't ask me how it got there...it wasn't me!

Well anyway, I saw this big, gold-toothed kobold pick up the necklace and run into the mine. Go find that kobold and you'll find the necklace, I swear!

I recommend taking a friend with you aswell. Goldtooth has a Kobold next to him that will attack you once you get Goldtooth's attention. So it is best to have two on two rather than one on two.

Don't forget...there's a ton of quests that go on down here, so it's often pretty densely-populated with fellow adventurers. I was practically able to walk unchallenged to Goldtooth and kill him as a level 8 pally. His bodyguard was missing, so I'm sure that made things easier too.

He is near a ramp in the back of the mine, you can access him from both enterances of the mine. He is equally far to the both enterances, jump in one of the gates of your choice.

Note: The ""den"" mentioned in the quest is actually just a little campsite at the top of the hill above the mine. I was looking for a cave entrance. /facepalm

The minimap still points to his old location inside the mine, if you go where the map icon is (outside) then he's a bit to the southeast.

Killed Goldtooth yesterday for the necklace. He is above the mine on open ground - no in the mine. Also got rare spawn Narq and looted a 6 slot bag.

I had problems to turn the quest in. Bernice Stonefield was not in front of the house near Ma Stonefield.
She appeared only about one minute later. No idea what was the reason. But if you have the same problem as me - just wait.

Every single time I do this quest, I, without fail, go into the mine to kill him. He IS NOT in the mine, but above it.
