Description

How would you like to earn yourself one of these shiny coins?

<Leopold holds up an insignia of the Crusade.>

I've got a little problem that you might be able to help me with, <name>. You see, I make Cryptstalker armor for those daft enough to venture into Naxxramas. While they supply me with the core material requirements for the armor, I always run out of the crypt fiend parts. Bring me back a bundle of parts and I'll pay you with an insignia - usable at the quartermaster.

The best place to get these would be the Terrorweb tunnel - but be careful. There's a 60 elite Nerubian Overseer (https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=16184 https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=16184) that patrols one end of the cave to the other. Bring friends, or run like the wind if you can't take it down.

I decided to farm these for my alt's quest at 70. As a Rogue with max lockpicking, you should be able to get into Stratholme from the backdoor, and carefully pull the Crypt Fiend-style monsters inside. They easily drop 4. I cleared the easy 3-4 fiends, then reset. I had my 30 parts in 2 resets. Just be careful for the really fast flying gargoyle patrol. :)

As of patch 2.2, these initial turnins are worth 1000 rep with Argent Dawn now (Still the same amount of exp/silver)

The level 60 Elite Nerubian Overseer (https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=16184 https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=16184) will drop more than one Crypt Fiend Parts. I personally found 5. Also note that while in the cavern, which is behind the furthest building on its left (your right), if you fight him in the cavern, he is a lot easier. While fighting him in the Cavern, he would back into the wall then walk back towards me after stunning me. Somehow, I was still able to swing my weapons when he got close. Made him easy to solo in there. He constantly stuns and traps you while fighting, which forced me into death while I was outside the Cavern. I couldn't heal myself at all, or next to non-existant healing. As a Shaman, I suggest you have the Talent for the Stone Claw Totem to remove snare effects.

The drop rate of these parts is quite low as well. Before I realized there was a tunnel, I found around 5 from the town, 5 from the elite, and passed through the Cavern twice to get all the parts.
