Description

Greetings, adventurer! Are you interested in some work? I pay those under my employ with insignias. These insignias can be used at the Quartermaster to purchase items of power.

All I need you to do is bring me as many core of elements as you can carry. The more the better!

You'll find them on elementals of varying shapes and sizes that exist across our world.

You will receive:
Insignia of the Dawn

Progress

I can only steer you in the right direction, <name>.

Completion

A job well done, <name>! As promised, the INsignia is yours. Just remember, there's more WHERE that came from...

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 660 experience (39 60 at max. level)

This is the best way to get Insignia of the Dawns. The best place to farm these Core of Elements is from the Templars in Silithus, you get CC rep, possibly a green and about 3-4 of these Core of Elements.

Another good place to get them is Fire Plume Ridge in Un'Goro Crater. The elementals there have a pretty good drop rate.

71.33, Eastern plaguelands. It spawns elemental in the water. Kinda hard to get but you can get like 3-4 at the same time and the Elemental spawn pretty fast.

This quest is worth doing even at level 80 if you want to get your Argent Dawn Reputation up (required for one of the achievements). I personally recommend grinding the elementals in North West Silithus as you get Essence of Air and Earth from the mobs and they are selling for about 25g each on my server. Very easy to get 10-20 per hour which equates to 250-500g per hour. However make sure you do not flood the market or it will bring the price right down.

As of 12-10-09, this quest DOES count for the ""3000 Quest Completed"" achievement, but I already had the Loremaster of Eastern Kingdoms so I don't know for certain if it counts towards that. It also still does give 1000 rep with Argent Dawn, too.

Note: A good place to find Core of Elements is In Silithus. The top left hand corner with Earthern Templars is the best bet as there are a High concentration of them and they 93% drop chance. The other Elementals have the same drop rate but are less densely packed.It should be noted that the pre-Burning Crusade elementals often don't drop any loot at all, making the drop rates seem a lot higher than they actually are. This was prevented by adding gray vendor trash for The Burning Crusade and following expansions. However, the old elementals didn't have anything added to their loot tables.
