For every bundle of fronds that you deliver to me, I will pay you with your choice of an insignia of the Dawn or the Crusade.

Insignias may be turned in to the Quartermaster for various rewards.

Patch 2.3 gives you 9550 experience. Savage Frond can be fairly cheap, or a bit expensive. I bought 30 for 15g, but 15g for nearly 10000 experience is very worth it.

These do give 3X exp with RAF on the initial turn in, so yea, it's worth it. You do need to be friendly with AD though, and that can be accomplished by just running the 4 cauldron quests from WPL.
