Description

Now that I have the spiders' venom, I'd like some live specimens to study. Unfortunately, capturing a living, giant spider is more than I can ask of you, young <class>. And a giant spider is more than I could handle myself!

But if you can find an unhatched egg, then delivering specimens will be much easier, and I can then arrange for the unhatched spiders to be contained.

There must be a nest deep in the Shadowthread Cave. Please, search for an egg in the nest and return it to me.

you'll find the eggs in the far back of the cave, guarded by a named level 5 spider.

Enter cave, take the left tunnel, jump off the drop, turn to your left and follow the tunnel, you'll reach the egg chamber.

You can also wall jump up really close to the eggs. Just go straight in the cave and follow it straight in until you see the spider up top with all the eggs you can click on. Turn right from there and you can jump up that side. You have to kill far less spiders this way.

If you don't like ledges and going up and down them, then the recommended route is to take the center fork, then keep to the left. Egress can either be down the big ledge, back the way you came, or continue down the tunnel and jump off the short ledge.

Is it my imagination, or didn't the spiders in the cave used to be aggressive? I don't remember being able to just walk right in all the way to the egg and get it without having to fight spiders.
