This quest is available at lvl 49 (must be Neutral with the Bloodsail Buccaneers, Hated with Booty Bay). Nice freebie, but wish they would have made the uniform unique looking instead of using the same ole' swashbuckler shirt graphics, etc.

0/36000 hated with all goblin factions, 0/3000 neutral with Bloodsail, and unable to receive this quest.

EDIT: Able to pick it up at 791/3000 neutral, so I assume it just requires more than 0/3000.

It's the Bloodsail quests that have been giving me a headache lately, and not because I'm doing it myself. Booty Bay has been over run with lvl 80s who have nothing better to do than try to get that stupid Bloodsail Admiral title, and while they're killing Bruisers, they see my lvl 43 warrior walk by and gank me. I was ganked at the mailbox, while turning in quests, and once when I was just sitting in the Salty Sailor just having a drink. 2 Horde DKs, both lvl 80, just waltzed in with 8 Bruisers whacking away at them. I was Deathgripped out of my seat and one-shotted, just for being there.

Wether it's for fun, or just to grief an Alliance noob (becasuse I'm sure I'm not worth any honor points to them) it's making Booty Bay almost as dangerous as the rest of the zone. So much for the last safe haven in STV, now you're just as likely to get ganked in town as you are outside.The reason they gank you is because it spawns more guards. I can't be 100% sure as I'm on a PvE server but I believe killing a player attracts more guards than killing an NPC and in doing so they can kill more guards for faster rep.

Anyone know how to get more than 534 rep into revered with bloodsail, I got the revered but now killing bruisers doesnt give me any more rep. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone know if this quest is obtainable with the new Cataclysm ""Piracy"" buff? It basically puts you at Honored with the Bloodsail around level 30ish~. Has anyone tested this out?

I didn't set out to test it, but when I had the buff, https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=2546"">(NPC #2546) only offered https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=26650"">(Quest #26650) to me. (Furthermore, https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=2545"">(NPC #2545) did not offer https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=1036"">(Quest #1036).) Eventually, I lost the buff (probably when I got to https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=26665"">(Quest #26665)). I triggered the phasing by completing https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=26678"">(Quest #26678) and immediately leveled to honored with https://vanillawowdb.com/?faction=87"">(Faction #87) for the sake of ?achievement=2336"">(Achievement #2336). This resulted in me dropping to Hated by https://vanillawowdb.com/?faction=21"">(Faction #21). At that point, I picked up https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=1036"">(Quest #1036) from https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=43454"">(NPC #43454) and turned it in with Firallon and got this quest (Dressing the Part) from him as well as https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=4621"">(Quest #4621) and completed them. My character was level 61 through all of this, so that wasn't an issue. (The three quests give a total of 535 Bloodsail rep, but I didn't realize that at the time.)

My experience demonstrates that the buff doesn't make the quest available. If you are phased in to the Brashtide Invasion , Fleet Master Firallon and or The Crimson Veil will still appear at their old location but will phase out when you get there. Go instead to 35,8 - 66.7 right by the island off Booty Bay and you will get the quest.
