Description

You study the simple wooden flute you picked up after defeating Xavaric.

The knotted wood feels solid, but it seems as if the spirals and patterns in the surface begin to spin and move as you turn it over in your hands. Suddenly, you feel a sense of dread...

You shake your head, sure that your mind is playing tricks on you.

It's possible that other satyrs carry clues as to what you have found. Bring your findings to the druid, Eridan Bluewind, that lives in southern Felwood.

The drop rates reported for the Jadefire Felbind are artificially low. I found it to be a reasonable 30% or so--the whole quest took about 10 minutes.

Wow, with the Tricksters I have about 90% droprate then with the others. Don't know if it will work for anyone else, but it helped me.

When you watch drop rate for this item (https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=11674 https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=11674), Have in mind that drop percent is lower cause mobs that drop it were killed without quest. And without quest you cant get quest item drop...
I hope you won't miss this quest cause it writes the highest drop is 4% :)

Ditto on the tricksters. they seemed to have the best drop rate even thought it says it matches the betrayer. However the betrayers drop decently too and you have to kill them to get em outta the way anyway :P

This is an excellent area to grind for Runecloth! just by finishing ""Further Corruption"" and Flute of Xavaric I walked away with 47 runecloth

Also a pretty decent area for felcloth. It still sells for a goodly bit on my server and I managed to walk away from this area with five pieces of it.

The Felbinds for this quest are multiloot items. (Meaning, if you are in a party, each party member can loot one when a mob drops one.)

Niether have a better drop rate. I have done this quest with several alts and they drop roughly the same from the Betrayers and the Tricksters. Good drop rate too. Killed 11 mobs and had my 5 jadefire felbinds

I would say more than 80% droprate for hellcallers, every dropped it to me, but maybe that was luck.

Just did this today and didn't notice a difference in drop rates between kinds of satyr, but it was only a 10% drop rate for me. I had to clear almost the whole area twice to finally get all of mine.

does anyone actually have a solid average of droprate because reading through this, on one side we have 100% and on the other we have a 10% or lower droprate. somebody needs to go there and sort this out for good.

i just did this on my 80 druid for loremaster of kalimdor. about 7-9 kills for me. drop rate seems to be about 60ish% or maybe just random.

Still valid if you picked up the flute pre-Cataclysm - Jadefire is much better drop rate now - and from any of the Satyr MOBs by the look of it (90% DR) Eridan has moved for the hand-in though - shows in the Emerald Sanctuary, but not there - is at 21,72 in the Ruins of Constellas - hand in is as normal and still registers as a quest completed in Felwood for Loremaster
