Description

The parchment you found at the Master's Glaive is a page from an ancient text...written by elves! It is heavily cursed and tainted by the corruption of the Twilight's Hammer, but it seems the cult is using ancient elven magic to bring their old masters back to our world.

Travel to the ruins of Mathystra to the northeast, and search for ancient relics among the grass and broken stones. Through their study, we may divine how the Twilight's Hammer intends to exploit the magic of the elves.

The Mathystra ruins is located as far north east as possible, around 59, 19

The ""Mathystra Relics"" are found on the ground, so they are not a drop. You'll still have to kill a lot of Naga to get to them, but don't expect, like I did, to have the items drop for pickup.

When you find a relic, and they are scattered all over the grounds, simply right click when you get the activity icon (looks like a cog). That's all there is to it!

they are little purple vases on the ground. i also picked up a cat figurine which spawned a ghost saber(tooth).

This quest is easier for dwarves because that if you turn on https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=2481 Find Treasure you will be able to see the https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=5273 Mathystra Relic on your minimap.

Looks like one of the great unfinished plots of WoW this.

You have just delivered the Elven magic required to discover what the Twilight's Hammer are doing with an ""Old Lord"" (Old God?). This is pretty important stuff in lore terms, but then... nothing. Its just a low-level quest of course, but it seems an abrupt end to the chain to say the least.

Rogues, you can do this quest without killing a single naga. Here's how I did it: stealth about the edge of the ruins (near the shore) until you find a relic, click it, then run toward the shore (sprint if necessary). You'll lose aggro quickly and can return to do it all over again. I did this as a level 13 rogue with poor gear and no weapons (my character Victorie slays only dragons, so she keeps her weapons unequipped to avoid killing anything else by mistake).

Confirmed, first relic found at Mathystra Ruins 57.36, 24.31 Darkshore. BTW the Fine Moonstalker pelts are dropping of the Moonstalker Matriarch' (who never fight solo) for A Lost Master just north of Mathystra Ruins 62.5, 6.5.
