Description

Agents of the Forsaken uncovered an Alliance plot to establish new bases here in the Eastern Plaguelands, at abandoned towers throughout the area.

It is imperative that we not allow them to establish a significant presence on our eastern borders, and so we must stave off this Alliance incursion. Our current plans are to drive them out of any towers they may have already seized, and occupy those that we have under our control against further attacks.

They must be fools to think that we would allow them to establish bases so close to one of our capitals.

We will bleed their numbers until they turn tail and retreat back to the south.

Completion

This is good news, <name>. It will be a constant struggle here in the Plaguelands until we have fully driven back the forces of the Alliance.

To capture a tower you have to wait inside it until it's captured. You will see a slider bar appear showing the progress toward capture.

If you capture a tower and an tower of the alliance is nearby, 5 guards will spawn, mount up with like 40% extra speed and will run to the next tower, follow them, they will guard you while you are capturing the tower. If you captured it, you will gain 18 honor + a grave stone will appear, click on it and you'll get Lordaeron's Blessing, wich will give 5% extra health in Eastern Plaguelands, Scholomance and Stratholme. You get 1% extra damage against undead for each tower, if the horde/alliance controls all 4 towers you/they will gain 5% extra damage, wich is a bonus of 1%. This effect is passive, and will just come back when u ressurect. The Blessing won't last through death. You gain 560xp for discovering the towers aswell.

im not sure, but i think the tower has to be either contested or taken by the other side for you to complete it for the quest. It was barley on horde and me and the wife set there until it couldnt go any further up and we didnt get the completion. Just a heads up

Some extra good information: all the towers have a special ability wich i'll write down here:

Crown Guard Tower: if it's captured, the specific faction that holds it will get a Graveyard with a spirit healer near it.

East Wall Tower: 5 guards will spawn, mount up and run to Northpass Tower IF Northpass Tower is controlled by the opposite faction, else, no guards will spawn.

Northpass Tower: if captured, the Shrine of Lordaeron will appear, when you click on it, you'll get 5% extra health in Stratholme, Eastern Plaguelands and Scholomance.

Plaguewood Tower: this tower has a flight master, wich can only be used by the faction that controls it. You can fly only to the other towers, not back. You can even fly to a tower that is controlled by the opposite faction. The 'flying mount' is a ghost and is the same speed as a normal flight path.

in the plaguewood tower i not see a slider, but after few minutes tower change blue-grey-red and quest complete

If you are alone, and the tower bar is fully on the opposite side, you'll need 12 minutes to capture it; it takes only 4 minutes if the bar is at the grey border.

This quest is easy, you just need a little patience.

First you need to find a tower that is occupied by an opposite faction. Or is contested (neutral), all towers are located on your map. If you see a tower that's already occupied by your faction then you can't do anything about it, wait until your faction loses the tower then capture it.

to capture it, you have to wait until the small bar reaches your faction color and you complete the quest. It takes a few minutes so be patient, once captured you should gain 19 honor and a light should shine on you. The more people you have trying to capture it that are on your faction the faster it goes but if there are enemy players trying to capture the flag at the same time it will go slower.

This quest was red to a level 55 almost 56 and i actually found it to be easy.
All you have to do is wait in the towers for awhile to take them,the only trouble is somethimes alliance come so i would recomend doing this on a weekday apart from friday there is usually no alliance there.

Bugged as of August 14. Capturing a tower doesn't always give you quest credit, honor, or anything.

Did this on a Wednesday morning with my level 57 Rogue. I received 76 honor points, 9550 EXP and 90 Silver for completion as listed above.

I was getting completely frustrated with this.

Lvl 59 Deathknight, Horde.

I captured three towers successfully without issue - the the last one, Plaguewood tower was not working. Yesterday and today I log on, no Horde is controlling the towers, I ride out to Plaguewood and it is grey - as soon as I step on it turns to Horde and I wait until the slider goes all the way to the other side and I do NOT get credit for it.

I had to wait for it to be captured and in Alliance possession - then take it back. Seemed just being there when it was grey wasn't good enough, at least for that tower.

I stood in Northpass Tower for like 15 minutes and the faction bar didn't even show up. Then I said screw it and went to do something else. I went just northeast of the tower and the bar appeared and starting switching over to my side. Seems slightly bugged at least for this tower.

Also if you are stealthed then you cannot capture the tower.

I have just captured Northpass Tower, and the Shrine of Lodaeron bonus does not seem to appear near the vicinity of the tower. Are the bonus effects of the towers still intact?

Still bugged as of February 2010 - captured Plaguewood Tower twice with no credit. Was not mounted either time.
