Trek to Ashenvale

Find Raene Wolfrunner in Ashenvale.

Description

<name>, my mistress, Raene Wolfrunner, awaits you in the city of Astranaar within Ashenvale. With your help, perhaps we can at least ease some of the corruption that's taken hold there.

Head south from here and stay close to the road--you'll find your way there without issue if you follow those directions.

Completion

Ah, a <class> from Darkshore. Selarin has done well to send you here so quickly, <name>. I wish your trip here wasn't under such dire stress. Perhaps with your help we can improve matters.

I would start my visit by speaking to the other citizens of Astranaar. Some could surely use your aid.

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 37 experience (2 22 at max. level)
  • 25 Reputation with Darnassus

You can pick up this quest right after turning in either https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=995 https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=995 or https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=994 https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=994 to https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=3693 https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=3693.

https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=3694 https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=3694 comes running in a bit after you turn in other quest, chats with https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=3693 https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=3693 and then will have this quest available for taking.

Just did this one today, so it's definitely still in the game.

Propably this queat is removed in patch 3.3.0. Before this patch quest starts when The Lost Master quest chain is finished. Its could be bugged to cause this patch brings many of bugs :)

I just picked up this quest today and so the GM must be mistaken as it's definitely still in game. It appeared after turning in Escape through Force like the above poster said it would. I had Onward to Ashenvale https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=10752 https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=10752 my quest log at the same time so having both is definitely not an issue.

I picked up this quest today after the following three events:
  1. I completed https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=984 How Big a Threat?
  2. I picked up https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=985 How Big a Threat?
  3. I picked up https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=4761 Thundris Windreaver
It was immediately following these three consecutive events that https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=3694 Sentinel Selarin appeared at https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=3694#map 39,45 right next to https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=3693 Terenthis. They exchanged words. She waited around only for a few minutes, and then she ran off to get a pedicure and to get her hair did.

It seems to me that there might be a number of ways to get this quest, all of them involving turning in a quest to https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=3693 Terenthis.
BTW my toon is a Level 21 Warlock Gnome.

If you are a Night Elf that is going back here for Loremaster, but have already done most of the quests in the zone, is it not possible to pick this one up anymore? I haven't had any luck.

I walked up to Terenthis wondering what I'd have to do to get this quest (did all other quests in the zone long ago) and Selarin was standing right there, so I was able to accept the quest. She ran off after a couple of minutes. No idea if she was there somehow based on me having not done the quest, or if I just happened to get there when someone else just turned in, or maybe she just spawns there randomly? Anyway, it is possible to get it even if you already have Loremaster and have done all the other quests in the zone.

I just did what Kroch dwowhead:1,id:

I completed How Big a Threat?
I picked up How Big a Threat?
I picked up Thundris Windreaver

and waited several minutes. No spawn.

I went on to do the quests to rescue Volcor, and IMMEDIATELY after turning in ""Escape through Force"" to Terenthis, Sentinel Selarin spawned.

Due to this, I'm pretty sure that you have to turn in one of the two Volcor rescue quests to spawn her, and Kolch was just there turning in his quests at the same time as someone else who was further along the chain.

This was one of the last 2 quests I needed to have finished every quest in Vanilla WoW. Now I just have to figure out how to spawn the ""Shadowy Assassins"" in Southshore. :P

This quest is still in the game.

This quest giver is indeed very easy to miss. If you're running thru the quests in Darkshore in a hurry, you might not be around to see the exclamation mark to appear over her head since she has a chat before with Terenthis.

This was the last quest I hadn't completed in the zone and had indeed missed it when I did other quests in the village. I was able to find a low level hunter (thank you Moonmistress!) who still hadn't done the Lost Master quest chain. I helped her out with that and after returning the last part of the chain to Terenthis, Sentinel Selarin appeared.
