Spawns during a part of the AQ opening quest line. He starts out flying over the lake, exchanging menacing words between the leaders of Moonglade. He spawns a plethora of shadow mobs that are devastatingly efficient in killing masses of guards. After all the shadow creatures are killed, Eranikus lands into Moonglade and begins to fight. Players struggle to kill him and heal the tank while Tyrande Whisperwind tries to help him overcome the evil inside him.

When the battle is finished, he becomes Eranikus the Redeemed.

You win at 20%, but if you burn him down too fast the quest won't be caught up and you'll fail. Make sure that Tyrande is there, and Eranikus has said ""It burns!"" before you bring him to 20%.

You are able to complete this event regardless of the openness of your AQ gates. You can do every part of the opening chain except the part for the mount.

He is not soloable. Why? Because of a spell named Noxious Breath, which increases all CDs with 10 secs.

This goes for any of the ""Dragons of Nightmare"" as well.

Seems like he CAN be soloed by some healing classes.

i druidported to moonglade to turn in some Lunar Festival coins of ancestery and immediately started getting hit by his shades, i somehow was the first one to hit him and wound up tanking the whole fight...

Yes, most healing classes can solo this quest in the Emerald Scepter chain. Although I am not a Resto Shaman, Elemental does the job just fine.

Died at 30% though because of the acid breath but both the Tyrande and Remulos kept me up along with some of my healing (Healing Wave, Lesser Healing Wave and Chain Heal) but popped up and was free to DPS until the event completed.

Seems to be quite bugged. Got it to the point where Tyrande yelled: Praise be to Elune...Eranikus is redeemed.
Then he fall to the ground and the game told me that the quest is failed. Awesome 20 minutes wasted.

During the fight shades tend to evade just all the time, so keep this in mind.
