He starts out flying over the lake, exchanging menacing words between the leaders of Moonglade. He spawns a plethora of shadow mobs that are devastatingly efficient in killing masses of guards. After all the shadow creatures are killed, Eranikus lands into Moonwell and begins to fight. Players struggle to kill him and heal the tank while Tyrande Whisperwind tries to help him overcome the evil inside him.

When the battle is finished, he becomes Eranikus the Redeemed.
