Every Tuesday morning, Blizzard takes down several servers to clean them and stuff. Well if you are on the night before, there are several auctions that end during the downtime and several people don't put 24hrs on there auctions So, many who post there auctions around peak time (6-8pm) place there items on auctions for 2 or 8 hours with a low starting bid. Wow default starting price is usually 1 silver unless you change it. So if you don't like to ""Buyout"" items, wait till very late Monday night and bid low on anything that looks like a good deal, I recommend +20 items first time (spend less than 1 gold). There is a great chance of winning epic or rare items for less than 1 gold. Plus, if you have Auctioneer this works even better :). I've made 300 gold in less than 2 months (1 day playing time...yes i am a noob i guess), more than half of it comes from bidding on 50+ items on Monday nights, and selling them throughout the week. Just hope you don't try this on the 2 servers that I'm on...I'll lose buisness. BTW Auctioneer works great by itself, I just wanted to enchant it with a +50 gold every week for trying it out.

Updated to level 85 with 232,200 health, up from level 50 with 6,645 health in patch 4.0.6.

Don't know if he was always like this, but of the six auctioneers in Stormwind, he's the only one who does a talking and nodding emote when you first interact with him.
