Description

There is a plant that once grew in the old ruins of Bathran's Haunt to the north. The plant was called Bathran's Hair and was known to cure ailments of the spirit.

There is a sick child in the village, and I believe it is more than just a physical illness. Will you go to Bathran's Haunt and search it for Bathran's Hair? I may need it to properly treat the child.

Bathran's Haunt lies north of Maestra's Post and just south of the border to Darkshore.

Have you gathered the Bathran's Hair, <name>? The child's health grows weaker by the hour...

Completion

Ah, you have the hair! Now I will mix a cure for the child, and pray my concoction works.

And... Forsaken are at Bathran's Haunt? Very troubling to hear, that is. Very troubling indeed...

You get Batharan Hairs from items called ""Plant Bundles"" on the ground. They are small and they are hard to see.

Follow the road north towards Darkshore. Off the road to the east (right) you will find a plant bundle at 29,23 that respawns about every 30-45 seconds. Just camp that spot 5 times and quest done!

This quest can be frustrating as the undead roaming at the site Bathran`s Hunt can be make it difficult. There are many of them and there are patrols of two walking around the site. If you want to avoid unexpected corpse runs do the following.

Identify these three locations (all located at thesouth end of Bathran`s hunt area)

31,23
30,25
30,24

A plant bundle should be at one of these. Loot it. Now, travel from one location to the next until a new plant bundle spawns. The plant bundle will respawn at any one of these three locations. There is no need to venture further north in search of more. The respawn rate is pretty fast, about 30-50 seconds.

This quest is very easy if you have Herbalism as profession and 'Find Herbs' on. So it could be helpfull if you would take a friend with you that is a herbalism-char, he could kill the NPC and stand near the ""Plant Bundles"".

I found bundles at:

32.2 24.5
32.0 23.5
32.6 23.2
31.4 21.7

And did them in that order, you can go around the little camp on the east side and hit up that first bundle and the next 3 are somewhat of a straight shot into the camp and then you can come back out and for me the first one had already respawned, I just grabbed it again on the way out.

These things are pain to see sometimes. They don't sparkle. I made a screen capture and submitted so you guys can see what they look like. Found a small one at 30,22 also.

Just did this quest this morning, ugh! on the respawn rates. I think it took me about an hour to get all five, staying only at the south end of the camp. The caster and melee Undead respawned faster than the plants did. And there were only three at that end. :(

The south end is the only area where the Undead aren't all grouped up, and the melee hit hard and throw a disease that slows you down. Going closer into the camp will only bring tears.

This quest was really pretty easy. I just went to [31.11, 24.61] where there is a plant bundle and waited for it to respawn 5 times. It was much easier than walking around trying to find the other bundles, and it respawns very quickly so it didn't take very long. Also, if you fight your way through the Undead around there, they don't seem to respawn near that plant bundle. The Undead are about level 20-22. After that you just go back to Orendil and talk to him. He then has you take the cure to Astraanar, in a little house next to the gate. There will be a person laying on the bed in there. I did this with a level 20 hunter in about 10 minutes.

found 1 just off road at 29.6 23.5 respawns every 30 sec just keep going back 5 times... dont have to fight either... GOOD LUCK

Finished the quest solo in 15mins last night. I think respawns has been improved.
Also, if you're an harbalist, you'll find Kingsblood as well as Bathran's hair on your map. It's worth a little more fight.

I did this quest with a lvl 20 druid in cat form - ""Prowl"" enables you to walk unharmed among the undead. You can then appear when it's convenient, maybe kill one undead, loot the Plant Bundle and prowl again.

ok, handy hint.... if your as stubborn as me just zoom in for a little while because once you have found one bundle there soo easy to find. they are not right by trees and other bushes so no point sticking to the edges of the area.

also while your in the area its really handy to kill all the undead you can because i cleared the area and got alot of greens to disenchant. it was probally easy for me because i was a level 53 mage trying to get rep at that point but well worth it. more hints just whisper manasha if your on moonglade

Definitely need to keep your eyes open for these, it's not even like they are bright white. They are small bags of a grey colour that blend in (annoyingly) with the scenery. Only need five, and once you know what you're looking for it's not so bad.

Bigger issue I would say is the guys that are killing you during.

Spent 45 minutes prowling the entire area as a druid in cat form. Found plenty of clumps that looked similar to the pictured item, but couldn't pick up anything. Wish someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong. Lousy quest!

Confirmed spawn point of 31.1 24.6.

Harder at night as the kinda blend into the scenery.

About 30 seconds respawn on the one at this point
