Description

<name>... yeah, I've heard of you. I've heard that you're no friend of Booty Bay - just like us Bloodsail Buccaneers. Fleet Master Firallon is looking for hale and hearty men just like you for a special mission.

If you're interested, head on out to the Crimson Veil and speak with him below decks. She's anchored off the Wild Coast east of here, next to the Riptide and the Damsel's Luck.

Avast ye, scallywag. I hears that ye be the type for a bit o' the skullduggery. Well, if yer no friend of Booty Bay, then ye might have a special place with the Bloodsail Buccaneers.

Take note that you MUST be hated with Booty Bay in order to get this quest. There is a bug/exploit you can do to get to Friendly with Bloodsail and still be friendly with Booty Bay, but you will be unable to get this quest.

Dont waste your time on the exploit. But get this hat, its very worth it for the novelty! Dont be afraid of goblin rep. You can reobtain that within hours with just about 200 gold by buying cloth and turning it in (or farm instances for it)

You can get this quest as low as level 55. I started trying to get this quest since I was level 41 and since checked back at ""Pretty Boy"" Duncan to see if I could get this quest.

You can farm Bloodsail rep at Faldir's Cove in Arathi Highlands if you want to finish this rep gain as early as lv 40. I started farming Bloodsail rep in Faldir's Cove at level 37.

It does not count for the pet achievement. Neither does Don Carlos's Famous Hat. You don't summon this pet. It only comes out when you have the hat equiped.

I'm currently doing the Insane in the Membrane achievement, and I just wanted to bring something up that may have been obvious to some but to those like me who just kinda skimmed the details of this quest...

You cannot get this quest if you've already talked to Firalon and done his ""Dressing The Part"" quest.
(I'm a noob to the internets and don't know how to link quests/items)

I thought that I'd be able to accept this quest and save it until after I'd farmed that mob in Badlands to get to 20999/21000 revered with the bloodsails before I would turn this one in and reach exalted, but now I'm stuck barely at revered and unable to accept this quest, and it would seem unable to ever reach exalted with my pirate friends :(

So once more, take care. Accept all three quests if you want to get your Bloodsail rep to exalted.
I just had to have that hat ASAP... didn't I :(

""Good-Boy"" Bruce, a worgen, at 41,61 in Sothern Stranglethorn vale (the bloodsail camp at the end of the path just north of Booty Bay tunnel by a crate) now gives the quest. The dialog is the same.

i've already toggled ""at war"" on my rep with booty bay but i still can't kill 'em...they're all green..what can i do ? :S
p.s: i can't even find the guy who gives you the quest.

Pretty Boy Duncan did not offer me a quest upon reaching Friendly with Bloodsail - perhaps this part has changed? I was able to eventually find the admiral below decks in the middle ship, and he offered me Avast ye, Admiral (the quest to kill Booty Bay leaders) even without the intro from Pretty Boy.

are you hated with booty bay? I'm not hated with booty bay (honored bloodsail, neutral bootybay) and i'm unable to get the quest. The first comment says that you need to be hated with booty bay. I first want to know for sure if this is the case, before i decrease my reputation again.

I have tried it. I made my rep with bootybay hated (35999/0), and i was able to get the quest

Note for people who are farming Bloodsail Buccaneers rep with the phased quest in Booty Bay.
You can't do the bloodsail buccaneers quests while in that phase.

This means that you'll first need to farm honored to Bloodsail Buccaneers while phased.
Now you have to farm booty bay reputation in tanaris, without losing bloodsail buccanneers rep until neutral

Then you need to complete the phasing quest.
After that you need to go to faldir's cove, to get booty bay hated again. (it's only 6k rep, which takes about an hour)

After that it's possible to get te feat of strength from this questchain.

I think this is the most efficient way of farming bloodsail buccanneer rep as of today.

You can turn in this quest while in the phase event. Do not go to where the boats are usually as the npc is phased out. Instead go where the big broken goblin statue is located on the little island. The boat along with the npc will be inside the phased event.

I see some comments that mix up quests and the influence of the phasing of Booty Bay. If you do this whilst https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=26679"">(Quest #26679) is active, you can just do all three quests as normal, and in the long run the rep influences of these quests are minor if you want to grind Exalted.

At Neutral Bloodsail Buccaneers, https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=9272"">(Quest #9272) is available from Firallon, and Firallon is located at the relocated Crimson Veil, near the treasure island off the coast in Booty Bay. Only Firallon is present on the ship but this was intended I presume (everyone else is attacking).

This quest (https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=1036"">(Quest #1036)) is probably the most confusing, at Friendly you can fly to https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=43454"">(NPC #43454) as he now gives this quest and not https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=2545"">(NPC #2545). As Bruce is not in the phasing area you can accept the quest then the deliver it to Firallon at his location I mentioned before.

Then he'll offer you https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=4621"">(Quest #4621) proper, and he is obviously also the one to turn it in again. This will cost you 500+ rep for Bloodsail for an Exalted grind, but the few Bruisers extra to kill didn't keep me from getting the title and hat first.

Yeah, this is no longer true, you don't need to grind the ""Booty Bay"" reputation to neutral, than give the quest and than to turn it to hated again, this is a disaster, you do NOT need it. Just make your reputation with Bloodsail to Friendly and get the quest from ""Good-Boy"" Bruce, at 41,61 and deliver the quest to ""Fleet Master Firallon"" (this is the significant point), according to WoW's quest liner, it shows him at the ships which are at the south of the map, actually it is not, he is at the ship, but in front of the Booty Bay, near the mini island.

If you are phased in to the Brashtide Invasion , Fleet Master Firallon and or The Crimson Veil will still appear at their old location but will phase out when you get there. Go instead to 35,8 - 66.7 right by the island off Booty Bay and you will get the quest.
