Description

I'm developing a new engine that'll make the car go so fast! Fast enough to fly, I know it! I just need to make pistons that can handle very very heavy stress. All my trials have failed because I can't make pistons hard enough!

But there is someone who might know how.

His name is Martek the Exiled. He is a great smith and knows more about metal than anyone. Take him this letter, I know he can help!

But he's far far away -- in Azeroth, in the Badlands, in a camp, with a goblin!

Find him!

Well, you found me. Good for you.

Are you here about that axe I made for Gath'Ilzogg? Or are you here to reclaim Duchess Pamay's honor?

Actually, I don't care which it is. If you're here to fight, then let's get it over with...

Completion

Fizzle sent you? Well that changes things! Of course I'll help you. Fizzle and his brother are two of the few people who don't want me dead!

So Fizzle wants to make pistons, eh? Pistons strong enough to take whatever stresses he has planned, and if I know Fizzle, then this new car of his is a volcano on wheels!

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 135 experience (8 10 at max. level)

This quest, though ending in the Badlands, counts toward the Loremaster of Kalimdor achievement.

Just completed this quest today. It did count towards my Loremaster achievement for Kalimdor. Don't know about the second one yet though.

To get to Martek The Exiled,start from Arathi Highlands and follow the path to Wetlands.At Wetlands,go through Dun Algaz tunnel at 54.0,72.0 (which have some lvl 20s mobs around) and follow through until Loch Modan.There are some lvl 30 Alliance guards at Loch Modan.Then just go to Badlands.

If not,the other way is painful as it's full with 8000hp elite mobs.
Did this as lvl 36 lock.

reminded me a lot of the Rambling Hiker sketch from the Fast Show...

'stuck down a hole, in the fog, on your own, with an OWL'

He thinks you're there to either fight him over making a (presumably faulty) axe for https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=334 Gath'ilzogg who *is* a quest NPC, or ""to reclaim Duchess Pamay's honor"" who I am sad to report doesn't seem to exist.

Unless he means https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=32538 Duchess Mynx, the only ""duchess"" in-game. Of course, with a name like that, I think we can forgive him for whatever part he played regarding her honor. ^ _ ~
