Description

Cursed muckshell! You can't kill Marg! Ah, but I am dead. So it must have slain me...

But my mission! My mission! You, <name>, must complete it.

While near Theramore, I spied a group of Alliance soldiers camped on the beach. And one soldier wore a pendant... a pendant laden with more gems than any soldier could afford!

That night I snuck into their camp and stole the pendant, but on my return to base a muckshell crab-man killed me!

<name>, you must find that muckshell and recover the pendant!

Found the pendant off a regular lvl 41 Murkshell in the bay, it was probably around my 40th kill.

At 55,62, there's a sunken ship completely surrounded by these crab people. Some of them are casters and heal themselves, so bring your kick/pummel/etc.

17th kill for me.

As of 2.3 the mobs involved in this quest are all level 36-38, but confirmed to still drop the Jeweled Pendant (I got mine off a https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=4404 Muckshell Scrabbler). Don't get discouraged and start thinking they've changed how to fulfill this quest, or thrown off by the fact a quest that's yellow at 42 requires killing level 36 critters (who are just barely green).

This quest is actually quite easy except for the low drop rate (about 3% off level 35-36 mobs). The lobster dudes have relatively low HP and don't hit very hard.

Killed about 10 of them, took a break, killed 3 more, picked it up. Watch that breath bar, its easy to think you have all the time in the world now ;)

What I want to know is... How did Marg get killed by such trashy mobs?

THIS QUEST IS STILL NOT ANY EASIER. As far as a quick drop goes. As of today, you still have to kill a lot before the drop. I went to the two locations mentioned above. First went to the 55,62. You could get one there I suppose, however there's only a couple of the Murkshell there. South, close to Tide Fury Cove, (where you go for the high level fishing quest), I went to the above mentioned 59,46 as well BUT at 60.1, 67.9 is a sunken ship. There, you will find a BEVY of Murkshell, you turn around and there's another and another. I got my pendant here. GOOD LUCK!

Two sunken ships one east, one west. Both have a chest spawn by the side of the ship

Two rare spawns can be found in this area;
https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=14236 Lord Angler, a slighlty larger murkshell walking on the surface beneath the water between the two sunken ships.

https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=14234 Hayok, a white wind serpent walking on the hillside just above the shoreline where you can find Lord Angler (the area of small hills on your map east of the water)

At 64.67 or down on the very right side of the coast...The zone read The Great Sea...I killed just about every one of these murkshells until I reached this one.

After 187 kills without result I decided to cancel this quest. The drop rate is ridicilous, it could have been a little easier to obtain this one.

This quest is terrible, took well over 30 kills.

Stay close to the shore, thats where the majority of them are.
