Description

My colleague, Furen Longbeard, made a discovery which I am eager to test. I wish to try it on a new armor that I am researching, for I believe Furen's techniques will produce superior results.

Will you help me? If you gather what I need to make the armor, then I will make an extra piece for you.

I need the sunscorched egg shells of the Highperch Wyverns who dwell at Highperch, in Thousand Needles. Search for the shells below their nests, and return to me when you have a sufficient amount.

Do you have the shells, <name>? They are quite strong, and can be rendered into a lacquer I will use to coat the links of my new mail armor.

The eggs required for this quest are lying around on the ground in Highperch of Thousand Needles. They look like hatched eggs.

The ramp to get to the plateau starts at 14,33. There's a big Tauren totem pole where it is.

As a lvl 30 fury/arms spec with several blues, the wyverns (lvl 28-29) prooved to put up a decent fight. And doing this quest without killing them is impossible, as they aggro far enough away that charging them is really difficult. On top of that, the shells you need are far apart and there's not that many of them, so you get to run around the place a couple times, killing a whole bunch of the wyverns.

As of patch 2.3, the shells shimmer, making them a lot easier to find, and thanks to the lowered amount of XP needed to level, you may just gain a level or two killing your way through all the wyverns.

Overall, soloable at lvl 30, but bring plenty of food and/or bandages. And be very careful taking on more than one wyvern at the time, they hit a lot harder than you'd think, and they poison you which slows down your attacks.

This quest BLOWS. Not worth the reward at all... The respawn rate is like 15min. and thats PER SHELL. I have been sitting here long enough to grind 75 skinning pts from the mobs and have 7 shells. Three people have come and gone..... Let this one go

The quest is very easy to solo at lvl 30. I did it on my prot warrior with no problems. Yeah I had to stop and get my hp back up a few times, but other than that it was easy. I also have a lot of blues, so that helped me a lot.
