Furlbrow's Deed

Bring Furlbrow's Deed to Farmer Furlbrow.
Furlbrow's Deed
Provided Item:
Furlbrow's Deed

Description

This is the deed to an expanse of farmlands within Westfall. It is signed by a Theodore Furlbrow and cosigned by his wife, Verna. And on the back of the deed are hastily scrawled words:

"We leaned on Furlbrow and got his deed. Thought it might be handy if you wanted to forge one of these for your own place.

The Furlbrows won't give us trouble. Last I saw them they were on their way out of Westfall, stuck with a broken wagon."

You think the Furlbrows might want their deed back...

Progress

You have the deed to my farm?? That's good news! Some ruffians stole it days ago... I thought it was gone for good!

Please, let me have it. We're on our way out of Westfall and ain't coming back any time soon, but if we do then we'll need those papers...

Completion

Loads of thanks, <name>! As I was saying, these parts aren't fit for honest folk anymore, but if things get better, then this deed will let us reclaim our land.

I don't have much to offer you, but here -- take this.

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 600 experience (3 60 at max. level)
  • 150 Reputation with Stormwind

This is a pretty easy quest. The hardest part is catching the random drop of Furlbrow's Deed (https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=1972 https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=1972) in the first place. Kill enough Defias and you're sure to get one eventually however.

Furlbrow can be found in Westfall at 60, 19 (alongside the road a little ways across the border into Westfall).

You have to right click on the deed to start the quest. I had no idea of that. Once I did it, it gave me the quest, and, since I was standing next to him, I was on the quest for like, 10 seconds.

The quest starts from https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=1972 Westfall Deed
Farmed it at the pumpkin patch and dropped after 10 mins or so. Heavy farming the small area speeds up the spawnrate of the mobs, making it really easy to farm.

I just got it off a Defia Bandit, around those cords, 44.5ish, near the broken down wagon. But after I wiped out the Defias at the Brackwell PumkinPatch, Mirror Lake, the one's surronding Dead-tooth Jack and Jerod's Landing. And yes drop quests do count towards Loremaster.

Just a FYI -- I have long-since completed this quest, but with the Shattering of Azeroth (4.0.3a) I was able to get it again. Unfortunately I had already completed the new Westfall chain and the zone was phased to such that the quest NPC was not visible for me, so I had to abandon it the 2nd time around.

If you want to do this quest again, be sure to do it BEFORE you do the Westfall chain.

RE phasing, I thought I was stuck but was able to hand this in when I came across the guy at Sentinel Hill.

Ok, so I didn't even know about this quest until AFTER i did all the westfall quests since the patch. Does that mean I cannot turn it in? Because when I go back to the Jansen Stead, they npcs are not there.

The quest https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=184 Furlbrow's Deed now starts from a https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=42259 Dead Thief behind https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=448 Hogger. I do not know if it is a drop also.

if you have already done the Jansen quest line, then it seems this quest is unable to be turned in.

This has a typo in the completion text. It should read ""Jansen Stead"" rather than ""Steed.""

Unless he's using ""Steed"" in tribute to poor Old Blanchy. RIP. :-(

Its still not fixed in 4.0.6 as the NPC for delivering the quest still is missing if phased as I am

""The Furlbrows have been squatting on the Jansen Steed for five years.""

I love it when Blizz makes fun of their own game. :)

Don't waster your time grinding for this quest drop. The quest can now be picked up in a fixed location on the ground near Hogger.

I'm having a wee bit of trouble... i turned the quest in. or so i thought. and it says i still have it... but i can't turn it in to the lieutenant anymore... i haven't gotten any farther because i have been trying to figure this out.

Canceling it seems to have fixed things.
