Description

To make the brutal leg guards, I need a brace of sturdy shinbones. The Dragonmaw orcs of the Wetlands have nice, thick shinbones. I'll need theirs.

But they must be sturdy. Be sure to test the shinbones as you collect them. If you can break them with your bare hands, then they won't be sturdy enough to work with.

Its the dragonmaw orcs that are located in the center of Wetlands, which are just south of Arathi Highlands. Just follow the road south and as soon as you cross the bridge head to the mountains in front of you and you will find them in there. The drop rate is fairly good, takes about 30min with 15min of that time getting you there from Hammerfall.

The only problem with the drop rate is once you get them, you need to test them. The shinbones themselves drop, but they arent sturdy, their just shinbones. Once the items drop, then you need to right-click to ""test their durability"" or somthing like that, and when I did it, the failure rate was like 9/10. So maybe i just got really unlucky, but if not, prepare to be there for a while, and dont save the broken bones for anything, they don't even sell =P

Co-ords are the 49,47 area.

Although the fail rate is pretty high, they drop two bones at a time.

Dropped by any of the Dragonmaw Orcs: https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=1034 https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=1034 Each Orc drops 2 shinbones and you right click them to test them. I am notoriously unlucky but I got 46 Broken Dragonmaw Shinbones before I got the 8 you need.

The Orcs are well spaced out so it is an easy quest. Hardest part might be the alliance.

The success rate might have been improved on these. I tested 16 shinbones (from 8 orcs) and got 8 usable Sturdy Shinbones. 50% is nice odds.

It was 26 broken bones in a row before i got my first sturdy shinbone. Alltogether it was 46 bones tested before i got my 8.
