An easier way is to grind the Witherbark trolls around Boulder'gor. Theres 5 spawn points around it, and the droprates are very decent. The mobs are 30-32 so its very easy for a lvl 30 mage to get his Totem Sticks there. Getting them charged is another thing tho.

Did this as a levl 37 mage, the only problem I ran into was trying to get into the outter binding without all the 39s killing me, but someone else was also around killing most of them so it was easy. But yea just watch out for that

At lvl 38 i got 4350 exp when turning in this quest.

It was very easy for level 38. Just kill elementals one by one but don't kill last of 'em. Try to body pull before using totems in circle. Elemental will shock you first(just tank it), then will try to cast bolt which is counterspellable. Silenced elemental must chase you to hit(meele) and then freeze it to the ground. This will give you time for putting stick in there.

Watch totem and when it becomes lootable(just in case -you can see ""Bolt Charged Bramble"" text at tooltip while targeting totem), kill last elemental and just loot it.

Cleared this quest as a lvl 36 mage without any problems at all. Its simple just kill all the mobs you need to to get in to the stone one by one. Its not harder then that. =)

There is a way to deal with the elemental's if you are doing this at lvl 30 and don't have a main to clear them out. It is a dangerous place though if your on a pvp server as this area is right next to the horde flight point. Takes a little while to farm up enough charms but is well worth it(probably need at least 10). Of course you could probably pay a high lvl to do this for you but its just a helpful hint if you don't have the money but have the time.

Hey guys I have a problem. When I come to the middle of the circle and use sticks, it fails. No charging, no waiting, no looting bramble...just failed.

I just completed this quest, but she didn't give me a wand. :/

for some reason I didn't get this quest but I got the Hidden Secrets one, anyone know the reason?

is there any way to get the witherbark things easy without help or death at lvl 30? if not i just have to move on until 35

Solo'ed as lvl 34 frost mage. Definitely not easy, but doable. I have 3 miners, so the jade wasn't an issue to get ahold of for free. The stone circle was the only problem.

The trolls are not an issue at 34. But the elementals are still 37-39, with 3 lvl 39 in the middle of the circle. Went in from the road to Hammerfall, cleared out the first 2 elementals on the side, then went after the ones in the middle.

The trick I found to the 39s in the middle, since at 34 you're going to miss 75% of the time, is to stay at max distance. Once they run out of mana, they will not come after you. Then you simply have to outlast them and I just kept spamming frostbolt till they died, then drink/eat till you're back at 100% and go after the next one. When I had only one guy left, I started to get worried about the ones on the outside respawning, so I popped the mana shield, ran in there and stuck the brambles in the stone, then kited the last guy outside the circle, frost nova to keep him there for a few seconds, blink back in, and picked up the charged bramble. Health pot halfway to stay alive, and then died while trying to escape.

Not the most elegant solution, and then using your high level toon to clean out the place first may be a lot easier. Log in/out times seem to have gotten a lot worse with 3.0.8 though.

Is anyone experiencing problems with getting the Sticks charged?

I get all 10 sticks, put them on Centre stone and nothing, no matter how many mobs are there etc

I've now tried this a total of seven times and am pretty fed up !

I come into the circle, ""use"" my 10 https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=7273 Witherbark Totem Sticks but The stick stay floating over the stone and can't do nothing! I can't right-click on it. What do I do? Is it a bug?

Update: I realized it was a bug of the server I play.

Did Blizzard retire this quest? Before 4.0.1 hit, one of my mages had this quest in his log. This quest (along with a few others) went missing after 4.0.1/4.0.3 hit.

I *was* able to re-acquire the other missing quests, suggesting the loss of quests was just a glitch. However, when I returned to Tabetha, she did not offer this quest to me again.

I've opened several tickets on this problem with Blizz's Cust. (Dis)Service Dept., but I have yet to receive a clear and definite answer from them. >:-P
