Description

It is time for you to don your first mage's robes, <name>. They are a sign of your station, and a testament to your worth.

To gain the robes, you must gather the mana gems from the Dalaran mages of Silverpine. Their beliefs are similar to ours and so killing them is somewhat distasteful, but if they lack the strength to resist us, then they do not deserve their lives.

Bring the gems and a supply of linen to Josef Gregorian at the Magic Quarter's tailor shop.

Progress

Anastasia said you would come to me, and I am prepared to fashion your robes. Do you have the gems and the linen?

Completion

This is very good material, and although I lack the talent to gauge the quality of these mana gems, we'll soon know if they possess the power needed to create spellfire robes...

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 80 experience (4 80 at max. level)

Head to Ambermill in SIlverpine located around 55,65. Try to stay on the outskirts as fast respawns and multiple mobs can aggro on you quickly. The protectors can spawn little snake guardians so IAE helps with them. While here you'll collect the linen you require as well. Can also pick up this quest (https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=479 https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=479) and get both done at the same time.

This quest leads to ""Spellfire Robes"" (https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=1962 https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=1962) which gives you ""Lesser Spellfire Robes"" (https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=7510 https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=7510) as the reward.

If you come from from the Bloodelf lands then you most likely already did the quest 'A Simple Robe' in Tranquillien (https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=9488 https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=9488). The stats are the same.

when i turned in this quest at Josef Gregorian a yellow quest exclamation mark appeared above the 2 other apprentice tailor trainers, but I didnt check them before I accepted the robes and the quests disappeared. anyone knows what quests those wouldve been?

The drop is still pretty low, ive just killed about 15 of them and I got 3/6 gems. But it might just be my bad luck
