Description

Dalar is attempting to locate the source of the wizards' spellcasting. For now, we'll have to slow their progress in any way we can...

The conjurers, mages and protectors are no doubt carrying the pendants. Remove and retrieve them.

Take the main road south and the eastern fork into Ambermill.

We must hurry, their plans must not come to fruition, or we may lose our hold on Silverpine Forest.

Completion

Dalar has found that the weaving is quite far along, despite the setback.

A wizard of great power is guiding the magic energy. He must be stopped quickly.

This is a fairly easy quest, and it gives very good exp. compared to its difficulty. The Dalaran Protectors have one or two little snakes that can be very annoying, but they die in one hit.

Head to Ambermill in SIlverpine located around 55,65. Try to stay on the outskirts as fast respawns and multiple mobs can aggro on you quickly. The protectors can spawn little snake guardians but any time of AoE that deals a small amount of damage will kill them. Not a bad place to grind out some experience and also get linen and wool cloth.

Took forever to get the pendants to start dropping. Was killing everything ... Protectors, Mages, etc ... but once they first dropped, they pretty much dropped every kill. :P

Died 3 times as a level 15 rogue trying to finish this quest solo. Drop rate was very slow for me, and the mages appeared to be having a convention, as they were always grouped up in 2s and 3s.

Because of this I stayed on the outside part of town and just kept running back and forth picking off Protectors (and the occasional mage who was by himself) that were on both sides of the road leading into it. And those snakes were annoying to say the least.

If you are doing this quest, it's a very good oppritunity to try to get the Black Tabby pet. Just /target Dalaran Spellscribe, and hope to get lucky. But, Goodluck on the quest, peoples!
