Description

Driving a Siege Engine isn't for everyone. It takes an iron grip and nerves of steel...lucky I have both! How about you? How's your mettle? Want to prove it to me?

Well...I'm looking to make my engine, Trollplow, a little more cozy. How about you get me a heap of Wendigo Manes from the Grizzled Den, west of Kharanos. Those manes would make a great rug for Trollplow's inside deck!

An easier way to do this is to wait outside and kill the ones that respawn at the edge of the cave - no getting trapped by respawns, and there's no aggressive mobs close by.

Wedigo cave is at 49.52 enter there. one nps will eb on the left side as you go in one on the right and one in the middle further down.

For anyone who quested in Dun Morough pre-Cata and was wondering why they could not get this ""new"" quest, this quest was renamed from https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=313 The Grizzled Den (link to wowhead archive). Also, it appears the quest objectives have changed.

Ok to clear up all confusion the Mountaineers are all in the Grizzled Den Cave. One is straight ahead one to the right and up in hill towards the back of the cave. If you have the quest also to pick up the crates you can do it here as well.

After entering the cave, follow the path down, Lewin (49.12,47.77) is to the right behind the rocks. Dunstan ( 48.29,47.13) is right in front of you as you come down the path. There will be an opening between the rocks just right of Dunstan, Valgrum is in there. Go up the path, staying to the left. You'll see Valgrum ( 49.20, 44.33) once you ge to the top of the path. Lewin IS NOT at the bottom of the cave, the boss is. Don't waste your time like I did going all the way down there. Hope this helps. :0)

In Kharanos, behind the dwelling that houses the armorsmiths (53:50), there is a slope that goes down to the Grizzled Den (49:52). The Mountaineers are spread out along the path through the cave.
