the 2 gaurds are lvl 8's at most. so they are no problem, but the captain is 12. so he's the problem, i soloed at 12, but im a rogue. theres no way to pull them out one at a time. but make sure you kill all the mobs on the outside so they wont come in, theres a couple pats as well. healing potions work nicely.

Soloed as level 12 warrior.

Cleared what I would aggro on my way in, attacked with full rage, got the bodyguards down first, then bleeded and slowed the Captain as I ran up the stairs (still inside tower), jumped down, bandaged as he ran the long way around, and then took him out. Not too hard.

I made this Q as a lvl 11 mage too like up there ^.. and I just didnt die. I used ""Slumber Sand"" which I got as reward from a earlier quest... on 1 body guard, I poly'd the captain.. destroyed the last bodyguard, and then I Frost Nova'd the captain AND the bodyguard, and nuked the captain. he died, and I was oom, and went melee with a lvl 8.. ( easy as hell )

- Hope it helps... Sunstrider, Konsty

Easly done as a level 13 warlock, and considering how easy it was done, i think atleast a level 11 lock should be able to do it too, as long as you have the Voidwalker (and you should by that level. if not get moving!).

Just clear out all the mobs outside. then send the Voidwalker in to attack the captain, since he is the hardest hitter. Keep attacking the captain with everything you got untill he is dead, then take out the two guards.

at 13 i didn't need any extra healing for my minion, but at lower levels it might be usefull. since you don't get health funnel untill 12, picking up first aid, and using that on the minion should work great.

This fight is possible as a level 12 rogue. Sap one of his guards and use https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=3434 Slumber Sand on the other guard. Take down the captain, then the two guards as they awaken. Use https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=1776 Gouge often, it's useful for recovering energy or for using bandages.

You can do what Lyxia did and run up the stairs, then jump down and use a bandage as they run down the long way. Potions are also nice if you have them.

1. Use slumber sand (reward from a quest) to sleep the captain
2. Nuke guards
3. heal / regain some mana (if you have time)
4. Nuke captain

Fight your way up the road from the monastery. Remember to take the left fork from the monastery.

Clear all the mobs. On the outside terrace there are 2 guards and then 3 sets of patrols. If you do not clear them they will add to your pain when you fight the bodyguard.

Solo'ed as 12 mage:
1. Sheep one guard.
2. Slumber sand (quest reward) other guard.
3. Frost nova Captain
4. Nuked the captain.
5. Ran away from other guards.
6. Returned and killed guards without captain (sheeped one, killed other, then finished off sheep)

Stone back to Brill!

I did this quest when I was lv.12 undead rogue. First I killed the guards outside. Then I attacked the bodyguards first killed one and used my sprint ability (rogue ability). Then went in again and took out the bodyguard and then the captain. If you have GOUGE it would be a lot easier.

Soloed as a lvl 12 priest, without the use of slumber sand. Just aggroed all of them and bubbled, then picked off the bodyguards, healed, wanded Melreche.

Solo'd as a level 11 rogue.
Stealthed up the path and into the room with the Captain and his guards. A Friar patrols the tower and will come into the room as part of his route, be sure to kill him or wait for him to leave. I wasn't able to get close enough to sap anyone without the Captain detecting me so I hit the Captain with a slumber sand and took out both the guards at the same time. I had enough time to bandage before the Captain woke up and was able to take him down easily. The Friar came into the room soon after and I was forced to use evasion.

Best advice I can offer rogues is to pick up a pair of https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=2207 https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=2207

Good luck.

Soloing with a lvl 12 warlock is easy.
1. First, kill all the pats you can find, including the ones that walk up and down the path to the tower.
2. Once your finished, stand in front of the tower door and send your voidwalker in and let it get some aggro.
3. Then, quickly dot the two bodygaurds with Curse of Agony.
4. Take down Captain Melrach yourself. He's your lvl, so it's not hard. Keep a Healthstone handy in case you want to use Life Tap.
5. Once you'd killed him, help your voidwalker take down the two Bodygaurds.

Note: Don't use your slumber on them. Save it in case you missed a Pat. Also, if you do get the aggro of a Bodygaurd, send your voidewalker on them. Don't pay attention the them. WOrk on killing him first. You won't be able to cast with two mobs hitting you.

Easy as any class. I did it as a mage and a lock.

All you need to do is kill any one (or two) of the 3 (bodyguard or the captain) than run. Leave combat than come back kill another one, run. Come back kill the last and your done.

Clearing the area before you kill the bodyguards and captain's is probably a good idea too. Also the slumber sand and/or any type of CC would be helpful but you can probably do without both.

I was a little confused at first when I saw 'moslof' post as there is also a tower at 79, 56, but I kept looking at the map & there is indeed another tower at 79, 26, just behind Scarlet Monastery. Head towards Scarlet Monastery, but instead of taking the right road to the Monastery take the left road. You will find Captain Melrache & his bodyguards in the tower at the end of the road.
