Krom'Grul

Recover Sha'ni's Nose-Ring from Krom'Grul and return it to Thal'trak in Kargath. Search the various caves and mines in Dreadmaul Rock.

Description

My whole platoon was captured, <name>. All were slain - except me.

Their leader, Krom'Grul, wanted to save me for some sort of ritual.

I was chained to this altar and brutalized by the beast. My physical being ceased functioning after an hour of this torture. The beast then ripped my wedding nose-ring off of my face and stuck it on his finger. I had never seen such savagery!

Find Krom'Grul and kill him! Take my ring back to Thal'trak.

And <name>, tell him that we will meet again... in another life.

He wanders around the Ogre area. First check the cave at the foot of the hill, then walk over to your left and around to the cave on the other side. You'll run into him in either of the 2 caves or in between them.

I was able to find him at about 78,41. In the southwestern cave. he is a lvl 54

For all the confused people, (like I was) here you go.

1. YOU need to go to the path at 78,34

2. Follow the path upwards (east) until you see a cave on your right, at 83,38.

3. Enter the cave. (83,38)

4. Turn RIGHT (down the skinny piece of map.)

Krom'Gul should be at 79,47 or near there inside the cave. That is where I found him at.

If you don't have cords, you better get some.

I found him at 80,40. Lowest cave on the far western side. All the way in a back nook.

Found him (weird) not at the end of the western cave , but in the middle of the cave kinda , cords 83.45 .

So I was having some trouble finding this guy like some do, and after reading a bit I found him like this...

I Made a macro to target him. /target Krom'Grul

Then because I'm a priest, I mind vision from guard to guard clicking my target macro till I target Krom. Then Mind vision him and find out where he is.

To other classes I hope the target macro helps you.

--For me, Krom was in the cave that is on the northern most side of the mountain. at the fork inside, where you can go left, straight or right, he was down the left eastern most one in the big room with the water flowing to the center. He was in a small little cave on the right side of the room being blocked by another ogre.

Some tips:
* As far as I can tell, there are only 2 caves he can spawn in, not 3. On the map it looks like 3, however the 'centre' cave is actually a very small cave mouth on top of the mountain (near where you start).
* If you use /target, you can get a annoying error where you'll have him targeted in the bottom/western cave, but he's actually in the top/eastern cave.
* The eastern/top cave is quite large and farmed a lot, so be on guard for PvP.

found him in the northern of the three caves myself, easily done at 80 =D (dont judge! working on my loremaster 'chievement lol)

Finally got it, after looking for 30 minutes in the middle caves I finally found him in the lower cave.

Check out the lower caves first, then the middle caves and peek in the upper cave. Your should find him. Use the target macro /target Krom'Grul.

Entrance lower caves: 77.50,46.70
Entrance middle caves: 82.90,38.70
Entrance upper cave: 80.90,44.70

For you who're using TomTom (Cartographer) use /tloc 77.50,46.70 (example)

Found him in the bottom cave with the small waterfall and running water. /tar Krom'Grul really helps, along with sending in my minion to pull him.

Killing him and an ogre I aggro'd was np on my 53 desto lock

I found this to be pretty easy.
After accepting the quest I went down to the bottom most cave and hit /target Krom then used a JCer's Focusing Lens which pointed up through the cave ceiling. I went up to the next cave and did it again and found him quite fast.

I, at level 80, had a problem turning in this quest.
At first Thal'trak Proudtusk would not take the ring; there was no '?' over his head, no dialog, nothing.
I waited for him to do his patrol and when he came back the '?' was over his head and I finished the quest.
