Any of the Blackrock Orcs or Worgs in Burning Steppes can drop up to 5-10 each. Easy.

Attacked the Worgs and got 50 easy. 1st one gave 10! Next ones gave 5 and 3 each. Near the end (in SE corner beside where the bots are killing Dragonspawns) I killed one and it dropped a Six Demon Bag! I couldn't believe it!!

Not sure why, but the drop rate for me has been absolutely abysmal. I must have killed around 12 before my first drop of 8 medallions.

My wife and I just did this quest and tried the worgs in the SE near the dragonkin. Every once in a GREAT while we got a couple, but got 50 each in just a few minutes on the orcs near the Pillar of Ash area.

The Pillar of Ash is indeed the best place with the smallest pulls to grind the orcs out.

I just finished this quest (3 Dec 2007) and for me the only consistent drops came from those mobs inside of the pillboxes scattered around the area near Gor'tesh (40, 55)

I had to clear the orcs in front of the Pillar of Flame about twice before I got 50 medallions. Every 2-3 orcs dropped around 6-7. The warlocks hurt, and the slayers use Hamstring, so try not to over-pull, chances are you won't be able to get away.

Definitely laughed pretty hard when I first saw this quest. It really helped to be reading it off in my head with the voice of some crazed old dwarf. The sound of a blown horn and ""SHIP IT!"".
