Description

While you were fighting the Dragonmaws, we discovered more of their plans.

Nek'rosh has built catapults and aims to lay siege to Menethil! And with the fighting in Dun Algaz, we're effectively blocked from reinforcements!

You need to take out those catapults. They're in the Dragonmaw encampment.

Here, take this tinder. Fight your way to the catapults and light them with the tinder.

And after you've done that, find and kill Nek'rosh. We need to cut this Dragonmaw beast down...at its neck.

Progress

The first catapult is before you. Will you set it aflame?

Completion

You place some of the tinder on the catapult then strike a spark onto it.

Flame erupts and quickly spreads!

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 190 experience (11 40 at max. level)
  • 150 Reputation with Ironforge

The catapults are at 47,47 in Wetlands. Just click on the one catapult and you will go through a quest dialog that leads to the next quest.

Yes, this is a very easy quest.
You've gotta be able to take 2 or 3 lvl 27 and 28 mobs at a time.

These mobs do run when they get low on health so be sure to clear around a bit.

I say that becasue there are alot around the Catapults.

Also: The above coords are verified and are correct.

This quest is soloable by a 29 feral druid. As well as the following one. Just pick your targets wisely and be sure to run if you get more than expected.

Since patch 2.3, quest objectives like the catapults will appear on your minimap as little golden question marks so coords aren't all that necessary. The mobs were very, very tightly packed behind the quest objective catapult, so even though they were level 23-ish, there were at least six together. I was a little worried. However, I managed to inch close enough to the catapult to finish and pick up the next quest without aggroing any of them.

Edit: I went back later and the mobs were more spread out around the catapult (like they should be), so I don't know why they were huddled together in one spot the first time I went. At least they're pullable when spread out a bit.

For mages... Get a Invisible Potions =D run there right click fast complete -> then accept -> Frost nova --> Blink =) bye bye orcs ;P

Very easily done as a rogue.

1. Stealth in
2. Toss a distract
3. Complete quest
4. Vanish

Easy. If you're a rouge or Druid you're in luck. Stealth or Prowl until you get to the place around the catapult where there are the least amount of enemies. Then just click through all of the quests and completions and run away. Go over the cliff and they can't follow you ;)

I have been ALL over this place, and I can't find a catapult.

As soon as the captain gave me the powder, it said said [complete] in my quest book, but I can't figure out who to talk to to get credit for it.

I killed Nek'rosh, but he didn't have a head to loot or anything.

Glitched?
First of all, I DO have the quest. I killed and killed getting to all the catapults, several times, but none of them are targetable so it was impossible to click on them. Reloaded and also tried without addons. No luck. Guess I'll return later. Am I missing something here? Oh, I do have the tinder in my inventory.
