The area is very densely populated with lvl 10-11 mobs, but should be quite easy to do anyway. You should be able to kill two of them at a time without problems, so just churn your way through them and kill the Ursal. Being a wanderer he is, he doesn't even have to come with an add, which makes him extremely easy to kill.

Good luck.

Just soloed with my lvl10 priest...Timing is key when pulling Ursal, the first time I pulled him he brought his totem buddy with him, which makes it impossible to solo at this lvl because of the healing from his friend...The second time I tried, I succeeded at pulling just Ursal and he went down relatively quickly. As I entered the canyon I stayed to the left and was able to slip by most of the mobs only having to kill about 4, just as Seanmichaelw said above.

The ""backdoor"" is located directly west of the big glowing pink ""strange fruited plant"", up a narrow ravine you can see on your minimap (squeeze past a tree).

Once you hop down that gorge, though, you probably won't be able to hop back up, so prepare to hearth or fight your way out. You can pull single mobs fairly easily from here, but the pathfinders are range casters.

Did this with a level 9 Druid.

Died first time, unknown how strong he was. Killed me in some blows

Second time, I cleared the mobs around him, buffed up, then pulled with a wrath, entangling roots, Wrath spam then go melee him when out of mana. use moonfire/heal when regenerered enought mana

this was as easy as ever. I was lvl 9 hunter using the back door. 2 mobs by the tent. Wait for 1 of them to walk off then agro the nearest one. Once killed that one, agro ursal. very easy quest for hunters due to concussive shot.

I also ran out with a little help of dodging the mobs and first aid while casters cast

just did the quest with a level 13 rogue. just stealth from the region with the 10.11 level mobs, get behind him, clear space and then pull him .make sure you have a bow or something thrown. i expected this thing to be more difficult...yet it was so easy.
good luck.

Level 10 Night Elf Warrior, very easy. To the people saying, ""lol so easy why u guyz complainzz?"" you guys took some awkward back door.

I, on the other hand, honorably killed my way through every furbolg in the camp on my way to Ursal. Between the easy Avengers and their Enrage (which happens way too late to save them) and Pathfinders, (a little more tricky because they are casters and don't come to you), I had no problem fighting through. First Aid and Alchemy didn't hurt, either.

Just watch out for Grimmaw, a dark furred Furbolg rare who sometimes wanders through the camp and can be a hassle when he shows up uninvited.

Just completed it with a level 12 rouge

Best is to just stealth through all the mobs till your behind Mauler. There are two enemies behind him in a little valley. Take care of them then with throwing knives or a bow (I just have small knives) pull him back into that little valley. He doesn't pull anyone with him and I killed him in seconds. Then just stealth out of there.

Easily soloable as a lvl 9 druid. Just entangling roots him and spam wrath/moonfire. He walks around the camp. when he goes to one side kill the 2 on the other side. then when he comes back 1v1. Most healy classes should have no trouble.
also to get back, DONT WALK! either die or bring your hearthstone. Much faster :)

Level 11 Night Elf/Druid. Killed Ursal with no problem just using patience. I carefully picked off the surrounding things one at a time. Then watched Ursals movement while standing on the stone to my right in front of him. When he walked far left, I picked up the closest Gnarlpine on the right. Then when he walked back over I picked him off. You won't pull any if you just stake out a little first and watch thier movments and make sure they are away from the rest.

Have done this quest 3-4 times before and just this last time noticed that once you kill Ursal in the background you can see 3-4 ""Freed talonclaw druids"" fly off. Kind acool.

Walking along the main road west of Dolanaar, you'll see a trail going up to you left at 49, 44.6 (Mapster). Keep following the trail up, and you'll eventually run into a fork. Going straight will take you to more Gnarlpine mobs, and taking the sharp right will take you further up the path, where you'll eventually find a small cave where Ursal is.

I also ran into a rare spawn, https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=14429 Grimmaw, right in front of his cave.

edit: i guess giving directions gets me downrated.

Pick up the quest from Sentinal Amara & guards on the cat mounts, patroling the road West of Dolanar. Then follow up the side road now called 'The Cleft' - if you follow the path up dealing with the Gnarlpine Ambushers as you go, follow the path up the rise, then round to the right. at the top of the hill there is a cave, Ursal is just inside.

This quest was easy...
My night elf rogue was only level 8. I used stealth to pick off the Gnarlpine Ambushers one at a time... once I got to Ursa, I used eviscerate and killed him with ease.

Take the road West out of Dolanaar. Eventually you'll see two NPCs (Huntress Yaeliura and Moon Priestess Amara) on nightsabers (black and white respectively) on your right. Just behind them is the turn off, the first road to the left will lead you to the cave that Ursal is at. There will be a bunch of Gnarlpines to get through going that way, but if you pick up the quest https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=487 The Road to Darnassus from Moon Priestess Amara on the way, killing them will help you complete it.

I did it on my level 9 druid, no problems at all, just took them off one by one. Got Grimmaw, too.

Ursal use to be south and east. They moved him to the top of a mountainous area north and west. Follow the road west out of Dolanaar. Then turn north to hit the mountains when you come upon the group of riders. Continue to follow against the hill/mountains north and west and you will come to a path. Follow the path and at the top is where he is.

Ursal is now at the top of a mountain north and west of the village. Follow the road until you come to the riders. Turn north and follow the against the hills north and west until you come to a path. Follow the path up and around and Ursal is at the top.

Go down the road that leads to Darnassus and there should be a lady on a Nightsaber with a quest.
She's standing in front of the trail that leads to him. this trail is spotted with many level 8 - 10 mobs that are required for the quest that the Night elf lady has. at the top of this trail (which leads up a mountain) There will be a cave that a rare spawn likes to be at. this is the same rare that you may have encountered at Fabreeze Village. Easily soloable by anyone levels 7+ :)

I actually didnt need to go up the entire trail to get to the boss, I just climbed up the hill at 49.50, 40.00 and boom I was on the trail. Theres still plenty of furblogs there for the quest, https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=0"">(Quest #0)

Follow the path Northwest out of Dolanaar, and keeping following the road until you see 2 rangers on nightsabers mounts; https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=10606 Huntress Yaeliura and https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=2151 Moon Priestess Amara, who will have the quest https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=487 The Road To Darnassus for you.

Just behind them, there is a path that works its way into the trees. This is the path you want to follow. As you follow this path, you will discover The Cleft. Here, you'll find https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=2152 Gnarlpine Ambusher to complete the quest of The Road To Darnassus as you make your way towards Ursal the Mauler.

Just follow the path of lights uphill and it will lead you right to Ursal the Mauler, who stands at the front of a cave at cords 51.7/39.3

Hope this helps!

Ursal the Mauler is at the mouth of the cave (51.7 - 31.5).
When I first saw the NPC, my hunter started shooting but everything wouldn't work. For some reason, I had to be in very close proximity to damage Ursal the Mauler til it died. From a distance even tho' Ursal was not moving, ""evade"" was showing after each shoot. Once I got very close (about only 1 step) did i begin shooting again & my pet began to attack & damage it too. Hopefully this helps.
