The Wildlife Suffers Too

Destroy 8 Diseased Grizzlies, and then return to Mulgris Deepriver at the Writhing Haunt, Western Plaguelands.
  •
Diseased Grizzly slain (8)

Description

To the east of where we are, near where the Eastern Plaguelands begin, once proud and majestic grizzlies roamed the countryside. The plague released by the Scourge has sundered these beasts too. They wander the countryside, agonized by the stiffening of their muscles and the rotting of their fur and flesh.

I ask of you to end their misery as well. The only cure for their suffering is a swift death, one that must be ministered by your hand.

Progress

I hear your footsteps, <name>. My vision has faded from me, but I still am able to sense things around me. Have you ended the misery of the disease-ridden grizzlies?

Completion

"I know that the grizzles have been put down, their torment at an end. I... I have one more thing for you. I wrote it down on... on this branch, sensing that my time in this realm had come to an end.

Indeed... I am at that end. Thank you again friend... the creatures of this accursed land may rest... and now shall I."

With that, a heavy sigh is uttered by the <class>, followed by what sounds like a death rattle. His body lies motionless on the cottage floor.

The Wildlife Suffer Too (1) gives 5900 as of patch 2.3.
The Wildlife Suffer Too (2) gives 6300 as of patch 2.3.
Overall, this quest chain gives 12200 EXP. Making it a quest chain not to miss with it's overall easiness in which you can combine it with running around the WPL looking for mobs from other quests. I recommend this quest chain.

Diseased Grizzlies are NOT Diseased Black Bears. I had to learn this the hard way.

I am pretty sure that just like the infected wolves of the first quest share a spawn with the spiders in the area that these Diseased Grizzlies share a spawn with the https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=1824 Plague Lurkers.

I'm not sure if it is true but when I started to try and do this quest there were only spiders and after killing some of them some bears seemed to pop up in their place. Anyway, if you can't find any bears try to kill the spiders in the area and see if any bears show up.

They do share spawn, I got there and there were 0 bears, but as soon as I started killing the Plague Lurkers the bears started to respawn.

This is probably the most depressing end to a quest and continuation to the next part of the chain (let alone quest line) in the entire game.

This was an incredible quest for RP. I had a lot of fun with this very sad moment and my NE druid and her Draenei Shaman friend returning him to the Earthmother. At the end, he was teleported to the Moonglade by my druid. Very emotional quest.

I got mine at 58,60. If you can't see any, kill some plague lurkers and wait for Diseased Bears to re spawn.
