The https://vanillawowdb.com/?object=176090 human remains that start this quest, as well the https://vanillawowdb.com/?object=176089 unfired gauntlets, can be found in the Firebrand area of LBRS near the lava.

Quest no longer gives an item on pickup but can be turned in. you need to go collect the gauntlets for the next quest tho.

Fixed as of patch 3.1.

What everyone means by fixed is that now when you talk to the human remains and get the quest, the unfired gauntlets object is on the ground next to you. Pick it up and you can now loot the quest item from it.

Counts towards Loremaster of Kalimdor.

Love to do this quest without quest helper... ""Someone in this world must know what to do with these gauntlets...""... what the hell, where? Spent hours travelling around asking myself where could be this person... and finnally get to the end^^

1. Go to ""Firebrand"" area of LBRS.
2. Click on body to acquire quest.
3. IMPORTANT! Click on object on the ground next to the body in order to get your Unfired Plate Gauntlets.
4. Go to Everlook in Winterspring to turn in the quest

If you are going to run LBRS, heres a little tip. After you pass the spiders and go into the fire brand area, you bear to your right fighting all the mobs. The last Fire Brand mob in this specific area, to your left look behind them and there is a small hole in the wall. This will lead to the skeleton, and the gauntlets; without having to jump into the lava.

I cant believe no one mentioned that the object you loot for the gauntlet is terminators arm. Looks like an obvious reference to me.

Why does Blizzard have to *!@# up history. Trying to get old smithing plans on a newer toon and was horrified to realize these were made unobtainable in Cataclysm. All the old smithing quests were what endeared me to the profession, taking them all out removes a large part of the enjoyment for many of us.

Would love to see Blizzard bring back crafting quests, if only for vanity-level items for transmog etc. to not ""force"" any lazy crafters into doing things they don't want to.
