Find the Sacred Highborne Writings in the Temple of Zin-Malor in Azshara, and bring them to Aurora Skycaller near the Northpass Tower in Eastern Plaguelands.

I believe this is the Crystal of Zin-Malor, an artifact that can contain and control strong arcane forces. It could have been used for good, but the evil intentions of those that stole it caused it to shatter.

Go to the Temple of Zin-Malor in Azshara - I can only hope the book is still there.

The writings can be found near the back of the temple in Azshrara. It's a small book lying on the ledge, I had a hard time finding it the first time around.

The temple is at the very east end of the Ruins of Eldarath and hard to miss. If you walk in you will see Warlord Krellian standing on a round platform in the middle of a pool.

Behind that pool are two moon-shaped ledges, on the left one (looking from the entrance) is the quest item.

BTW the mobs in the temple are not a problem if you meet a reasonable level requirement for running BRD (55+).

The book, along with almost all items that you need to gather/interact with for quests, now has a sparkle, similar to corpses with loot on them. It is thus easier to see than before.

Does NOT count for Loremaster of Kalimdor achievement, although there are quests later on in the chain that DO count for LoK.

It's worth checking upstairs while you are there for https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=6650 General Fangferror a rare spawn 50/51 mob. Only has about 3k hp and around 1:4 kills drops https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=17054 Joonho's Mercy which is a decent enough sword for 45+ twinks and sells quite well - wowhead estimates 20g but as I recall, sold it for about 50g).

Its called the ""Temple of Zin-Malor"" and its on the east side of the ""Ruins of Eldarath"" as marked on the map.

This was an incredibly helpful thread! The in-game Quest Helper by Bliz was indeed still wrong! Also, on the suggestion given above, I did go upstairs and found General Fangferror and got the blue sword. Thank you!

Thanks everyone! :) Had I not come here, I would be swimming my way to the wrong location. At first I thought this quest helper was good but I too have been noticing far too many mistakes and I've had to rely on the trusty Wowhead to bail me out. Still, the quest helper has helped more times than I care to mention. Everyone follow this thread - NOT the quest helper from Blizzard. :)
