Description

The Argent Dawn recently learned that the Scourge are creating their own plagued dragonflight! We must stop them -- if the Scourge gain a force of dragons they'll sweep across Azeroth unchecked!

Their necromancers are breeding plagued dragons at the Scholomance, in the middle of Darrowmere Lake.

Go to the Scholomance and kill as many hatchlings as you can... before they get any bigger!

Also, you get: 90

Progress

Get to the Scholomance, <name>. Take out those plagued hatchlings before they grow!

Completion

Well done, <name>! It'll be a long time before they can grow another clutch of dragons.

...At least, I hope it will!

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 620 experience (37 20 at max. level)
  • 250 Reputation with Argent Dawn

If you have a rogue friend, place yourself on the corner right as you go down the stairs after the instance portal, let the rogue kill the dragons and you get the quest done. :)

This quest DOES count for Loremaster of Eastern Kingdoms. I just turned it and it gave me credit.

Looks like the Scourge got their frostbrood dragonflight despite your efforts in this quest. too little too late, i suppose.

Just did the quest at level 80, for Argent Dawn rep, and I got 1000 rep upon turn-in, not the 500 stated above. Well worth the trip to Scholomance.

Note: I'm currently Revered, working toward Exalted, if that makes any difference.

Ok so here is how you get to the plague hatchings.

First you must have the Skeleton Key to enter Scholomance. If you don't you need to do the quests to obtain that.

Enter the dungeon. You will be on a bridge. You will see 4 guards and a gate. Kill the guards and go through the gate straight in front of you. This leads to the Reliquary.

Get ready to do quite a bit of fighting if you are in your 50-60s.

Once in Reliquary you can go right or left down stairs. Go left. At the bottom of stairs you will see 2 groups up mobs and a gate. (total of 6) You need to go through that gate so if need be kill the mobs. Go down the steps and through another gate.

You are now in the Chamber of Slumbering. It is a large room full of mobs. The gate you want is straight head at the end of the room. Get to killing.

Go through the gate and your mini map will say you are in Scholomance. Turn left and more killing. There are two ways to go inside this room. A gate on the left and an open arch way in front of you. You want to go through the arch and you will find the Ossuary. Kill the hatchings and follow the same path back out. =)

Again, I need dragon scales to complete leather armor. Where do I find them if this item is obsolete?
