This is a scale shed from a plagued dragon hatchling. But unlike the other pocked, oozing scales on the infant beast, this rare scale is healthy and unmarred.

You can only loot the scales after you have completed https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=5529 https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=5529, and is begun by the scale which drops off of plagued hatchlings.

Be advised you can pick up as many of those dragon scales that start the quest ( https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=13920 https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=13920 ) as you want and you accept the quest turn it in and accept it again and turn it in again each time giving you rep for the turn ins. It is repeatable, but only when you have the healthy dragon scales to turn in.
