Kim'jael's "Missing" Equipment

Find Some Rune that the naga have in their possession in the Ruins of Eldarath and return it to Kim'jael in Azshara.

Description

What?! What?!

That wasn't good enough for you? You know how expensive those explosives are? They sell for... oh, nevermind. Fine, you want to make some real money? Cause that's how business is done: you prove you're a valuable employee and then you're rewarded adequately after you stick it out some.

If you're a "valuable" employee, then hit the Ruins of Eldarath and find me some rune that them Blood elves were lookin' for. The naga apparently have it in their possession.

Well, <name>? Where is the rune? You are a good employee, right? You're here to help?

Don't make me think twice about paying you what we agreed upon. What? Oh, we didn't agree on anything? Oh, great... then take your time--just know that it'll be a lot less if you take a long time.

Talked to a few people on my server, seems it easily drops from the higher level naga. I made one pass around that fountain thing in the middle, killed about 7 and it dropped.

Grind for this down on the beach, the serpent guards in the ruins do not drop the item!

The drop rate is not great, the quest can take a little longer than you would expect (it took me about 25 minutes of killing).

Based on the Wowhead drop data and the comments I tried both beach and up in the ruins, it finally dropped off of a Myrmidon on the beach. Many of the mobs in the ruins themselves do NOT drop it, so the beach might be a little better. Only kill Myrmidons and Sirens, which the beach is crawling with.

Got it on my first kill also, around 51,40 on the beach. For a quick route to the beach with out taking your chances nose diving off the cliff, the first available path down is 45,36 and leads right up to the beach. Either that or you can run east (lol) and dive into the water like I did. I found the path on the way back up /sadface

Kill your mobs inside Temple of Zin-Malor.
Right mobs and good chance of rare spawn on second floor named ""General Fangterror""

This is a good quest, long grind - easy mobs and in 2.3 this quest gives 9500XP. Perfect for lower 50's.

Mymidon for me as well, I suggest looking for General Fangferror inside the Temple of Zin-Malor while doing this quest.

Drop rate for me was terrible, took me an hour of farming the Myrmidons and Sirens on the beach. Luckily the XP (at lvl 54) was decent, and I got 4 Golden Pearls in that time, to make it worthwhile.

If you happen to be in the area, the Rune also drops off the Naga at the Ravencrest Monument, on the tip of the southern peninsula. They're the same type as the ones in the Ruins of Eldarath (Spitelash), so no need to head to the Ruins if you're down there exploring or whatever. The naga are around level 53 in range, and I happened to get it off my first kill(though that likely isn't going to be as fast for everyone). Spitelash Battlemasters.

This took me about 10 or 11 mob kills before it dropped. I received the rune off of a Spitelash Siren @ 48, 47 but every mob in that area drops the rune.

If you are a mage this quest coples nicely with The Siren's coral quest, dropped off around the 8th kill, maybe i was lucky, judging from others comments

@Jimmyego...You didn't bother reading the whole quest chain did you?

If you had, then you would have found out that Kim'jael was working for Magus Rimtori. She hired him to help search for a particular treasure (the rune), but she double crossed him and he's !@#$ed off about it. So he asks you too get his stuff back and then go and find the treasure that Rimtori originally hired him to find.
He has no idea what the rune is or does, but he knows Rimtori wants it and that's enough for him. That's why he calls it ""Some Rune"".

So for us Lore lovers, it's a great little quest chain.

The Myrmidons and Sirens on the Beach are the right mobs. Dropped for me within 12 kills. If you think this one is bad: try Wavethrashing. The Wavethrashers are few and far between. From the Ruins of Eldarath you enter the beach for Kim'jael's ""Missing"" Equipment. Head south along the shore then enter the water where the beach narrows. Wavethrashers can be on shore or as far out as the ledge. Keep going around the point until the river turns south. I found 4 after the bend. Watchout for Razorclaws and Murlocs.

Just a heads up for people who are worried about Bloodsail rep: Doing this quest WILL decrease your Bloodsail reputation by 350.
