Kill Huntsman Radley and Cavalier Durgen before returning to Kirsta Deepshadow in Western Plaguelands.

Description

My real mission was to weaken the Scarlet Crusade's outlying forces and then infiltrate Hearthglen to gauge their numbers. I'm still in no shape to do it on my own, so perhaps I could ask you to aid me again, <name>? From what information I gathered before being discovered, the Crusade has two important members that are the backbone of their forces outside the town: Huntsman Radley and Cavalier Durgen. Kill them, and we're making progress. They should be along Hearthglen Pass outside the town proper.

Have you found them yet, <name>? With the two of them taken care of, I can proceed to enter Hearthglen to take a closer look at their setup. I can't do it without your help. Please, find Radley and Durgen for me.

I'm not really sure how I'm going to infiltrate Hearthglen itself and report on how strong the Scarlet Crusade's presence is.

Huntsman has several mobs around him which I was able to pull with no problem. I then sheeped the wolf, and took on Radley with no problem.

Cavalier spawns at the top of the tower and walks down. Kill all the guards at the base of the tower, so there are hopefully no adds. This is also the tower for the quest Mark of the Lightbringer https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=9474 https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=9474 .

When I came upon him, he was already at the bottom of the tower, standing just behind the right guard at the base. I sent my pet right in to him, froze one guard, and took him and the other out no problem. But just as I was doing this I noticed another guard patrols the base of the tower, walking around it. It was no problem as a BM hunter to deal with him, but other classes may have to be more careful.

When I did this quest and Mark of the Lightbringer (https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=9474 https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=9474 ) there was a Level 63 elite rare spawn Scarlet High Clerist (https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=1839 https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=1839 ) at the top of the tower which nearly melted my face. Use caution as you approach the top of the tower.

After you kill Durgen, you can jump off the side of the hill directly across the tower and you'll be right in front of the quest giver for a quick turn-in.

No problem solo'ing as a 52 mage.

The hunter just needs to have his adds plucked off 1 by 1. The cavalier is a bit trickier. Clear the 2 guards, the patrol, and the guard in the front door of the tower. Then when the cavalier walks down, he will come out front and you can kill him without any adds. The hunter spawned lvl 54 and the cavalier 57. No problems.

Solod as a 55 rouge, just pull the mages and then stelth and use cheap shot on the guy and blind the wolf. Took about 10mins to do.

Something I noticed while clearing mobs in the area of the huntsman is that if you sap radley and go out of stealth you don't seem to aggro the wolf.

As a lev 54 holy priest,

Durgen was easy, just wait for him to come down to front of tower. Hit him with succession of damage spells, bubble yourself, keep hitting him until dead, run! He pulls 1 mob with him but just ignore her and concentrate on him.

Radley was harder. Take out all the mages first. The last mage nearest to Radley aggros Radley but ignore her, kill the mage and run. Then return and hit Radley with everything you got. Fear the dog. Bubble yer self. Keep hitting her until dead. Run!

Riley Coords: 57, 36
Made the mistake of not looking hard enough when someone else killed Riley. Top Coords ar just a bit off, but enough so that it looks like there is another little enclave to search. She spawns right on these coords and its off the main road to Hearthglen to the left right past the main barricade. Few mobs on the way up. Straight kill. Watch her little dog. He bites.

Easily soloed as a 54 Rogue. For the Hunter I shot each add one by one pulling them away from the Hunter. After killing all the adds, I stealthed behind him and sapped him. Then I went after his pet, spam Sinister Strike up to a 5 point eviscerate, which I got a crit on and killed him. Then go back to the hunter and 3 point rupture and a 5 point eviscerate took care of him.

For the cavalier you just have to pick off all the guards until the only ones left are the 2 casters in the tower and the cavalier. Once he goes on patrol just shoot him and pull him away. From there I used Evasion, Sinister Strike to 5 points, cold blood, eviscerate and he died. Granted my https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=11302 Uther's Strength gave me a holy shield, but I had over 1k health leftover.

Huntsman spawned as a 56 and the Cavalier as a 57.
