Nice quick quest for gold/exp, but it definitely seemed like it was going to lead to an assault on Hearthglen. Perhaps an unfinished quest?

Their only 2 guards in front of the tower another two around. Just run into the tower and all the way to the top. Their aren't anymore inside so it's easy.

If you are a rogue, just sprint past everyone at the gate, then by the time you are at the entrance you can just stealth normal as you will fade out of combat. On the way out can can do the same thing. You don't even have to use any vanishing powder.

Did it a level 57 with another warrior (56), and its on 45,18 make sure u look at all sides of the tower until u get quest.

you can mount up and run in to the top of the tower, jump off the tower and run out, the npc will still be on the top of the tower 5 sec quest =D

easy whit rogue, first mount in loose the aggro of the sentinels then stealth and distract and sap one go behind that one u saped and just run up do the circle jump down mount up and run out again, total time from entrance to exit (same thing) less than 1 minute or so, i was 57 :P

As a hunter you can easily run in, feign, complete your quest. then run out, feign again. Mount up and leave.

54 firemage tactics
Kill sentinels and paladins with pyro, 2x fireball, fireblast, blastwave, dragons breath, fireball, (frostnova fireballs until dead but mostly isnt needed)
when pala casts holy light counterspell it.
Inside the tower there is a 60 elite. Use dragons breath,frostnova or even try sheep it then just run up the stairs and u accoplish the quest then jump down and do blink right before u hit the ground, (this prevents u from dying)
run away out of the keep like a coward before the 60 elite spanks you

Easy soloed as Shaman 60lvl.

Just run on mount to Heartglen. Run enough far until first guards stop follow you.(heal self if you need). Then go before tower. Mount up. Run in. Use Stoneclaw Totem. It will stun them. You can easy run at top. Enough time jump down. Use Eartbind Totem then CD on Stoneclaw totem should be gone so use again Stoneclaw totem and use Ghost Wolf. Maybe you will have to drink potions depends on luck :)

I would propably easy soloed at lower lvl. I got 60% mount.

Soloed it with a lvl 57 BM Hunter. All you need to do is to use Viper sting on pallys so they dont have enough mana to heal themselves. I killed the lvl 61 high protector this way.

Possible to Solo -
Run Through the mobs and slow them if possible - run to the top of the tower and run around the top of the tower tell it completes.

soloed it with lvl 60 priest.. i know my lvl is high but priests can use mind soothe on every scarlet... makes things pretty easier:)

I don't know if i was lucky for me or not but i soloed it as a lvl 57 frost mage.I say this cause at the entrance were 2 guards,and inside the tower was a lvl 60 RarE.

Elling the man she says she'll return to is a spy in the SI:7. Master of Cheese in Sw.

Solo'd as a lvl 58 ret pally.

2 lvl 54's at entrance easy. Take the right path and at the top of the hill to the left there will be a small path so you can avoid the scarlet priest. Watch out for High Protector Lorik, i used divine shield and lay on hands as well as repentance to heal and since he can heal and bubble also I could not quite kill him. Died when he had 18% health left. He is soloable but u have to get everything just right and have some good buffs.

Got to the base of the tower after rez and killed the two scarlet paladins. Scarlet Executioner was inside, took me 2 tries to kill this rare elite. 1st time i missed divine shield so that pretty much sucked. 2nd time i went back prepared...used scroll of strength and agility III with Winterfall Firewater(+35 attack power) as well as blessing of might. Easy solo this time, had to use divine shield and heavy runecloth bandage to heal but is expected with a lvl 60 elite.

In case any other ret pallys want to know how i solo'd 60 elite:

-Use Sanctity Aura..want to kill him as quickly as possible so using Retribution Aura wont be as effective since you are only fighting 1 mob.
-Of course use Blessing of Might and whatever other buffs you can. (scrolls, potions, etc.)
-Cast Seal of the Crusader and use Judgement to first aggro mob. Seal of the Crusader judged will increase your holy damage up to 161 and as long as you keep hitting the mob it will continue to judge him.
-As soon as you judge Seal of the Crusader cast Seal of Command..use regular attacks and Crusader Strike until cooldown of Judgement is up
-Cast Hammer of Wrath and Seal of the Crusader and get some good damage. Hopefully you'll crit on this attack.
-As soon as you judge SoC, cast it again and wail away until stun effect wears off.
-By now the mob should be down to at least 50% health if you have decent 2h and crit chance. You will prob need to heal by now so you can either cast Repentance or Divine Shield and heal. I recommend healing with heavy runecloth bandage so you conserve mana/potion use. You may not want to use Repentance because it can be resisted and also you may want to use this for your finishing moves.
-After healing is done make sure Seal of Command is still active and just keep bashing the mobs face in. Use judgement recast SoC if you have alot of mana left as well as whatever else attack you want.
-After mob gets down to 20% health use Hammer of Wrath to get his/her health down low and if you didnt use repentance now would be a good time to use it and judge SoC for high damage.

Hopefully you will have successfully killed whatever you are fighting.
**Keep in mind repentance can only be used on humanoids.

Soloed as 55 shaman

I was a bit disappointed the quest line ended there. Spying on top of a tower is not a true climax, but it should be the preparation for a challenging battle.

almost too easy for 58 hunter:D ...two guards to kill at gate, a few inside and even killed the elite. no sweat.

Soloing as a 54 holy priest, very easy.
Use mind sooth to stroll in, walk around tower so facing 2 guards, bubble yerself, run in, fear guards, run to top, complete it, jump, run until lose aggro. Mount and ride out.

when you get to the tower your not looking at the entrance you passed the sentinels in your looking at the entrance you went through to get to the top of the town its the little ramp where you pass the two paladins

Solo'd as 51 hunter. This was easy to do with as this feigning and running away.

I managed to kill all the guards at the entrance by pulling one or two at a time then killed the two guards at the fork. Simply walked up the hill to the left (not right, it's much more irritating that way) and pulled the two guards at the tower, complete the quest and walk out before they respawn!

Oh and careful of the elite, I got chased out of town once by him.

This quest doesn't give Ironforge reputation anymore

So i'm doing some back questing last night i bumbed into this little line. Wondering if anybody knows who the person/place shes almost says actually is?

Did this quest with fair ease as a level 53 priest. Ran up to hearthglen, mind controlled the right sentinel (which was level 55, other was 56 but i guess this could change making the quest potentially harder) and killed the left sentinel. Once i was inside, i mind controlled one of the paladins, killed the other. I died once here to Commander Lorik, but this can be avoided if you know he exists ^_^. Once i did that, i ran to the right, and found a little path round the back of the tower so i was at the left side. Mind controlled the first guard, killed the second. Once again, lorik got me here when i was MC'ing. With the Scarlet Executioner inside (And me in full broken gear) i simply ran up the stairs, ran around the top of them and levitate jumped off the side. Easy quest, got 9k exp with the 10% shoulders :D

Soloed at 53 Warlock using SS: Just killed the first Sentinel at the entrance of the city, and than 3 workers (than they pulled other 3 enemies): I ran in, died, SSed, and did the quest

u most engaged in war with gurdian in frot of tower and then go on roof of tower and done :)
