Tried to solo @ 48, didnt work out too well, he hits rather fast and i saw a few hits for around 600, good dps and a healer should be all you need for this fight.

If you are a frost mage, you can easily beat him down at level 50 using water elemental. Just save the CDs for both novas and nuke him with frostbolt. Remember to take at least 1 mana potion with you.

Forgot to do this q. Solo'd this as a lvl 56 fire mage, pretty easy, but if your in much lower level he might be hard to solo, hes doing pretty much dmg

Location is 40.84 tried to solo it with hunter level 46 no chance killed in a matter of seconds. Its a level 51 elite. The level 50 gorillas were easy. recommend group at level 46.

Killed with the help of a shadow priest at level 50. He does a good deal of damage and the priest was barely able to keep me alive.

soloed as level 48 affliction warlock kiting him around the island for minutes with curse of exhaustion.

he doesn't aggro other mobs, but as above said, he hits hard:
once i aggroed a gorilla, got dazed, he reached me and nearly my whole HP was gone in two hits

watch out for the stealthy panthers around on that island.

yeah, big marmoset, near 12k of health. i soloed as 52 rogue (daggers). evasion and blind are your friends with such quests :)

Soloed as lvl 51 affliction warlock. DOT + FEAR + IMP. Easy

Ugh, this is next to impossible as a solo warrior, even at level 56. Sure you can kite him all day but you can't apply damage very effectively, as he parries quite well, and he hits like a truck. I went through a lot of bandages before giving up.

Was able to solo this as a 45 hunter.

A few posts above, a poster mentions two large trees he figure 8'd around to kill him.

What I ended up doing was just get aggro on myself, send my pet in to attack him(without growl) and just kited him around the larger of the two trees w/ aspect of the pack. If you manage to get a decent bit ahead of him around said tree, he'll actually turn around and head to you that way. If you're smart, you can abuse this a few times, make him go back and forth, before having to do a few more rounds.

All I did really was put serpent sting on him, get a bit inhead, and do an auto shot. Run ahead more, another autoshot, rinse, repeat, and reapply Serpent when it's about to fall off.

He also does a small AoE that will probably hit your pet a few times. It doesn't hurt much, but besure to watch your pet's health and use Mend when needed.

Only had to use 2 greater mana potions. I probably could have done it with none in a few more tries as I used Conq shot and arcane shot several times aswell throughout.

I just killed him. He is actually level 42 now. Easy solo by a level 42 enhancement shaman. You should find him around 40, 83.

As of patch 2.3 all the mobs are lvl 41-42 & King Mukla is a lvl 42 non elite, so I was able to solo as shadow preist easily lvl 45. The only problem is you still cant actually get the quest until 45.

I am a lvl 48 Warlock and have just completed this quest solo with only my minion. Sent in minion first and dot with curse of agony . and then repeated shadowbolt attack brought him down with ease.

I just solo'd him on my 42 Human Paladin, Didn't need to use my Divine Shield, or any protection skills, Had to Holy Light once during battle though.
I'm a retri spec by the way.

guys i just soloed not even 10 min ago on my 43 troll war on eonar he isnt hard at all i only had 2000 health (i am prot)

dont do that or else u die if u kite him for lessers come to attack u

As of patch 2.4, easy solo with level 41 rogue.

Soloed him on my 44 protadin. He hits for roughly 100 with 2400 armor. Just kept holy shield up and beat on him with JoC and SoR until he dropped.

Is the King an Elite? I havnt attepmted to go to him yet, but I still do know he is on the Same Isle as the Princess.

just as a revision...i did this quest on 2/12/09. this giant ape is king kong sized, and very hard to miss. if you just go to the south end of the island, (the same island as princess poobah) you absolutely cant miss him. the coords are correct for him. however, if you are following a guide from 1-70 in 14 days, i cant remember who i got it from, brian kopp i think, he says that this ape is a lvl 51 elite. he is not, he is only a lvl 42 regular mob. hope this is helpful, have fun and good luck on your adventures!
