Description

Heavens no! Poor Rustlocke. 'Tis quite a tragedy indeed.

We must not let his death pass in vain. This parchment you discovered indicates that Kam Deepfury, the mastermind behind the original attack, arranged for a cache of explosives to be stashed just across the Thandol Span, in Arathi Highlands.

If those explosives make it to the bridge, our major supply line to the north will be severed! The cache must be destroyed, <name>! Return to me when your mission is complete.

You're our only hope.

Cross the bridge into the Arathi Highlands and go across the little wooden bridge directly to your right.

The cache is right in the middle of the camp, guarded by about 5 level 30-32 dwarves. Just right click it and watch it blow.

Just so you are warned, destroying the explosives has a casting time, so you cannot just just in, hit it and run out, you'll actually have to do some killing.

Using the explosives will add the 4 nearest mobs so you will need to clear them.

I soloed this as a 28 Resto Shaman
Ran in
Aggroed all
ran half way back across the bridge
dropped a Stoneclaw totem
ran back and blew up the cache!
then I ran down to and across the river to lose aggro

I soloed with my 31 Pala.. realy easy.. I killed the mobs, one by one. Then destroyed the cache..

I had some real problems with this as a 29 druid. Both the mobs closest to the cart where level 32 so I started out by rooting the melee, hoping it would last until I had killed the caster. Unfortunately I wasn't getting any luck and had to face them both pretty much the whole fights and being 3 levels lower didn't help any either. Many misses and glancing hits and it took me 6 tries until I managed to get the caster down, then I died because the melee-mob had gotten loose pretty early. Corpseran and blew up the cart.

The caster did some nasty damage with his shadowbolt + he puts an immolate up on you. Add that with the melee's crushing blow and you'll have some trouble if you're not lucky.

There is actually another way in. If you jump into the water and head east from the bridges there is a path leading up the mountain at around 57,7. Not only does this get you in, it gets you in closer to the cart of explosives and you can do less fighting. :)

Easy way to do the quest if your a low level or you cant solo the mobs is to jump off the east side of the bridge to arathi, you die but when you res there is a trail further east that leads up to the dynamite, you only have to kill one mob.

i was a level 30 mage easy solo. if you just kill the shadowcaster right off the bridge nad then remove the guys surrounding it. you dont have to kill the supplier unless he spots you. then just go to the side facing away from the supplier and blow it up. he attacked me immediatly after i destroyed it but by then i was almost across the bridge and he died before hitting me twice. just take them 1 at a time and its simple.

a really easy quick guide to this is to head across the bridge and pull the shadowcaster across.
Then pull the bomber on top of the hill and head across to kill the other shadowcaster.
I was able to do it like this but if u cant then kill the melee person in the tent. :D very easy as a level 32 hunter :P had some problems at 30 thou...
