Warsong Supplies

Collect the Warsong Supplies: Warsong Saw Blades, Logging Rope, Warsong Oil, and the Warsong Axe Shipment for Locke Okarr in Splintertree Post.
Warsong Saw Blades
Warsong Axe Shipment
Warsong Oil
Logging Rope

Description

We are in short supply of a few items at the Warsong lumber camp!

Pixel at Splintertree Post has our shipment of saw blades. It'll take a trip to Booty Bay to pick up a crate of axes from Wharfmaster Lozgil.

Our shipment of oil and rope will be more difficult. The rope was pilfered by the Thistlefur and Foulweald furbolgs, and the satyrs intercepted the delivery of the oil and are now using it for detestable rituals in Night Run, Satyrnaar, and Xavian!

Can you help me?

Reward

You can choose one of these awards:
Warsong Sash
Warsong Boots
Warsong Gauntlets

Progress

I hope you can come through with the supplies!

Completion

Excellent, <name>. You've saved me a lot of work!

But don't think that I'm not grateful!

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 275 experience (16 50 at max. level)
  • 350 Reputation with Orgrimmar

Warsong Saw Blades; Get a Deadly Blunderbuss - https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=4369 https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=4369 - buy one off the AH or craft it, doesn't matter. Give it to Pixel (She's next to the Flight Path in Splitertree Post) and you'll get your shipment.

Warsong Axe Shipment; Head to Ratchet, grab the boat to Booty Bay, find Wharfmaster Lozgil and the box right next to him holds the shipment.

Warsong Oil; In the Satyr Camp at Night Run (smallish green bottle) (66, 55).

Logging Rope; Can get it from either the Foulweald Furbolg Tribe at Greenpaw Village (55, 61) or the Thistlefur Furbolgs at Thistlefur Village (36, 35). As far as I am aware all of them drop it.

Very nice gloves! Watch out for the boat ride though. You will be flagged for PvP when entering StV if you are on a PvP server!

The Warsong Oil ( https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=16744 https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=16744 ) can be found at any of the three Satyr camps in Ashenvale Forest. Though it's important to note that the oil isn't on the Satyrs themselves, but in small jars near their camps.

Each of the three camps has different types of Satyrs associated with them. And each of these groups of Satyrs has a special debuff.

Night Run
These Satyrs are levels 25 - 27.
They regularly cast the spell Overwhelming Stench ( https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=6942 https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=6942 ) which silences the target for 5 seconds.

Satyrnaar
These Satyrs range from levels 26 - 28.
They curse you with the spell Curse of the Bleakheart ( https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=6946 https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=6946 ) which has the chance to afflict you with Chest Pains ( https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=6945 https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=6945 ), stunning you for 5 seconds.

Xavian
These Satyrs constist of levels 28 - 30.
They have the ability to cast a full-heal spell, Gift of the Xavian ( https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=6925 https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=6925 ), when they are low on health.

The Blunderbuss needed for the sawblade is absolute murder on some servers. They cost a bomb on the AH &gt;_&lt;. Try to find a friend who can make you one well before you do this quest.

I just gathered the oil from Night Run and it appears that the green bottle is now larger and has a shimmer effect on it, like when a corpse is lootable. It must be new with 2.3 i guess.

If you're not an engineer, do not go to AH for your Deadly Blunderbuss if you have mining. It is cheaper to mine 8 Copper Bars, buy 2 med leather off AH, and get a Wooden Stock from a supplier and get an engineer to do it for you. All together I paid 60s to get mine made (tip included) as opposed to the whopping 2g 50s I would have paid in the AH

When going after the Warsong Oil, if there's any chance at all someone will also be after it, go straight to Night Run and leave the other two camps alone. It's a bit more of a hike but you're less likely to frustrate yourself. My and my friend's leveling group (me, a paladin, them a hunter and a mage) tried to do this for quick blues, and went to Satyrnaar first, where there were other people after the same thing. I got one jar and after over half an hour we had yet to see another, and neither had the competition. So we made the hike to Night Run and there were five or six jars there, but as I already had mine I don't know how many were interactible. Both my friends got theirs, though, and then we hearthed and logged.

Easiest way to Night Run is to follow the river up after going west from Splintertree, and if you keep an eye on the minimap you'll eventually see a path northwest that cuts into the hills. Head up that then head south towards the point, that's Night Run. Be prepared to fight a lot of bears and spiders though

This quest has been a staple of my WoW game for almost 6 years.. I had an issue with finding a deadly blunderbuss on my main and swore I would always make sure guns were available to people who wanted to do the quest.. My rogue, Misosniki, has actually become famous on my server (Feathermoon) for her ads promoting the quest and the item. All I can say is I have always loved this quest and it has always been well worth doing it. I am not sure what will become of Pixel (the npc to whom you give the deadly blunderbuss to in exchange for the saw blades) but I can honestly say that on some servers, the quest is legend.
